Topic: MP 1 : Sheegoth boss undefeatable

AArrgghhhh!! I give up. I have been playing Metroid Prime ever since it came out almost two years ago and I still can't get past the Sheegoth boss. I have had no problems whatsoever finishing or advancing through my other games (including RE4, MP2, F-Zero) but this is one tough s-o-b. I know I shouldn't lock on because he'll just absorb the energy of my weapons. I know I should fire missiles at his head (without locking) but either it takes about a hundred missiles to destroy him or I'm doing something completely wrong. Can anyone please help ?

The best way to take them out is to use bombs.  Go into your Morph Ball and roll under it's soft belly and drop bombs.  You'll take it out much quicker than with missles.

Also, get good at doing this.  Sheegoth is only a mini-boss, and you'll actually run across a few more of them later on in the game.
