ill probably end up getting it because i kinda enjoyed the first BK. But damn i wish it was a sequel and not a prequel. I wanna know what happens to everyone after the end of BK 1.

On second thought, i dont think ill buy this game. We'll just end up with another BK on the Rev if it sells too well. We need RPGs but certainly not anything that looks like the above picture. That "ninja" is embarassing.

Yeah, because the LAST thing Nintendo needs are more third party exclusives.

But really, why do you get mad when Japanese developed games come out with the style of Japanese animation? You think its a fad over there or something?

I simply state my opinions. you never see me say why do you post here when others state their opinion. And i strongly disagree with some here. Look at killers bees statement regarding that ninja. There is nothing cool about the ninja but i didnt trip off him. Thats his opinion. and its all good. I understand the addage "different strokes for different folks" Which is great.

I try to spark conversation on how Nintendo can improve overall in the US. I get agitated Not necessarily because its a Anime style game, but the fact that the anime style game shows an accomodation to the japanese market. We all know that part of nintendos lack luster performace these last two generations was due to its disregard for the US market. Look at MS. They do great here in the US but poorly in Japan. Thats cause they cater to us. Now as a gamer who would you want Nintendo catering to us or them? Well they have been catering to Japan and because of this i go to stores and there are walls for xbox and ps2 and i have to ASK where is the GC section. I dont know why, but at times its embarassing. I can see a person in Japan with an xbox going to a store and see wall to wall Ps2 and Nintendo and have trouble finding the section for his/her system. Im sure it embarassing for him too. MS is trying very hard to correct this and im hoping Nintendo does too.

Yes nintendo needs more third party support. But games looking like this screen shot is not helping their cause. Look at PS2, they have many Anime games. And they outsell everyone both here and Japan. Thats because they cater to both markets and they do this very well. Ps2 has all kinds of games, well balanced. Meanwhile, Nintendo cancels Retros Raven Blade and deliver us Fire emblem and Crystal chronicals...I personally forgive them cause we got the Prime series but its no wonder why they are third here. They could have gave us Prime and Raven Blade, cheap bastards.

Anyway i know i can state my point offensively. Its just me. I mean no disrespect to those who grew up and love anime. I respect that. But understand that many people do not or at least do not prefer it. I didnt grow up on anime and I happen to express that view a lil more forcefully thats all. Just ignore me if you dont like it. I am certain at times others here agree with me, albiet not all the time.

BTW i will not retract my statement regarding the screenshot. That ninja is retarded looking at best. If thats what i have to look forward in BK 2 then im going to have to scratch it from my buy list. Ill keep my fingers crossed for Raven Blade on the Rev....definetly wont hold my breath

No, they cancelled Raven Blade and gave us Metroid Prime. Fire Emblem and FFCC had nothing to do with Retro.

They could have gave us Prime and Raven Blade, cheap bastards.

I don't think half of Retro's staff was sitting idly while Prime was being made. Had they made RB at the same time I doubt Prime would have been as good.

The fact is, console gamers eat the Anime stuff up. Final Fantasy is the console gaming RPG in North America. It doesn't matter how much you hate the series, that's a fact. Most people aren't playing the PS2 for Ultima, they're playing it for Final Fantasy and all the other anime-themed RPGs Square Enix and other Japanese devs can pump out.

If you're looking for Americanized RPGs, you should be playing PC - or maybe Xbox, although most of it's RPGs wind up on PC anyway.

Anyway, about the game. If this is a prequel, that would work for me, seeing as I missed the first one! I can't view the screenshots right now, so I have no comment, the art looks nice, although I'm not crazy about the BK character designs.

I don't know about you all, but BK can't hold a stick or candle or whatever to Tales: Symphonia.

Why can't all RPG's use that type of battle system? It takes away from the monotnous of it all.

That's good I suppose.

The Toys R Us store in my home town is closing down, and they've been clearing out stock with 30-50% discounts. Of ALL the games [still] there, Baten Kaitos outnumbers them in terms of amount in stock. Around 30 healthy copies lying on the shelf. (LOL)

In contrast, there was 1 copy of Killer7 left during the same visit, and even Shrek Super Slam was on its way out too.

Tales received 34/40 as well. Average among great RPGs seems to be 32/40.

I will kill any and everyone who attempts to stop me from buying this game.

I looked through the screens and stuff, and saw something interesting. Battels in an arena. Sort of plebian I know cuz it doesn't matter too too much where battles take place, but what if they were to mix in a battle arena where you can battle for fun/maybe xp/to get special items from combos, anytime you want, and the creatures in the arena would increase in difficulty compared to your own level. If they do that, I won't kill anyone cuz i'll be far too elated.
