Boca Raton, Florida—December 2005—The Video Game Swap today announced the launch of its new auction-based web site TheVideoGameSwap.com.

The site is one of the first of its kind offering gamers an opportunity to buy, sell, or even trade video games for Xbox 360,Xbox, PSP, PS2, PS1, Game Cube, Game Boy, and PC along with accessories and consoles in an online auction format.

“TheVideoGameSwap.com gives the video gamer more value for their game.” said Erik Nilsen, owner of  The Video Game Swap “I so often hear gamers upset that when they trade in their game at a local video game store that they never get the real value of what they thought it was worth.  Then I see it on the shelf the next day for double or sometimes triple what they gave me.”

The Web site offers free listing of products for a basic submission. There are fees for additional features when posting adds.

locked and banned, methinks. or else warned. (not presuming to do the mod's jobs for 'em.)

They posted a news story about an auction site aways back. It would be somewhat hypocritical to lock this thread, despite the forum policy. This looks like the same auction site actually. Probably changed owners yet again.

Nice concept but that site's a failure.  Definitely the same site as reported several months ago and it still has less than 30 items for auction.
