Just wondering since Nintendo has jumped on the backwards compatible band wagon and is now touting you will be able to play all games from all of its previous consoles does that mean they will reprint some of the older more harder to find gamecube games?? I know you definately wont be able to download those so it would be nice if they could redistribute a few of them at maybe players choice price or cheaper!!

I have a feeling that I shouldn't hold my breath though!!

There are hardly any rare GC games, and it's no trouble at all to track down copies.

Cubivore just recently got a reprint and will be in Gamestops quite frequently now for $40 "used," but it's a new copy.

Ikaruga isn't so much rare as it is in demand.  You can get copies on eBay easily, and with a little diligence, it could be found at several stores.

What's rare after that?  Some crappy titles no one wants like Disney Soccer or some nonsense like F1 2002 I think.  You could argue the Resident Evils are rare, but it's mostly an Ikaruga situation.

Maybe the Zelda compilations are rare, but again, easy to come by.

In other words, I don't foresee Nintendo reprinting many games.  It's nowhere near PS2 game rarity levels, which again have seen lots of reprints lately (Rez and Gitaroo Man, for example).
I must find a way to use "burninate" more in my daily speech.

It's not that the Zelda compilations are rare, it's that stores aren't allowed to sell the Zelda compilations. :-P Not for resale.

If Nintendo WERE to reprint old games, they'd sell them online.

Well, Eternal Darkness is pretty hard to find new... I've actually seen it in a few stores in the past 6 months or so, but it's definitely rare. And it's even hard to find a new copy online.

Gamecube games maybe arent rare in USA but some are really hard to find in Australia. I had to import viewtiful joe from UK cause I couldnt find it here. Im glad I got Killer 7 when it was released cause I havent seen it in stores since. Unfortunately since Gamecube has such a small user base in Aus most of the stores hold hardly any gamecube stock or none at all.  So it would be nice if Nintendo did open up an online store so you could buy their back catalogue of games rather than having to hunt them down!!
