Oh ya, before I give you the link: When kutaragi is comparing systems, try to remember that he is comparing the PS to the SNES and the PSP to the gameboy. If you remember that, your good.

So 95$ estimated loss? The x360 was estimated by that company to lose 127$ per unit so that's not too bad. I doubt their calculations are accurate, the costs will likely be lower.

Either way, the X360 launched at 400$, the PS3 will launch at 400$. As the PS3 has all the features of the full x360 and more (additional BRD playback, for example) that price will probably look justified in the eyes of the public. Plus it's Sony, they'll have at least enough momentum to carry them for a year or two and third parties won't abandon them too quickly. A setback but not a guranteed failure yet.

We don't know what MS will do with the price drop, they might just kill off the premium line, add some useless stuff to the core version (to make it look like the new premium) and call it something new. Or they'll just claim "Hey, the x360 sells for 300$! We're cheaper!".

I have to say that is EXTREMELY ignorant of Kutaragi to compare the sales of the each of those systems with that of a nintendo system from the previous generation, but then what do we expect from him.  Also, he acts like it actually means something that people lined up for their systems, and they sold out, that happens with EVERY system launch.  Unfortunately I be a lot of dumb fanboys just eat that stuff right up.

I doubt any PS3 game will run at 120 - 150 FPS and isnt it true that the human eye can only see like 30 - 60 FPS. And I highly doubt anybody in the sane  mind would do the 2 HDTV setup and I highly doubt any dev would put in that dev. I think sony is just putting out features out the wazzoo for the hell of it and probably so they can charge a ton of pretty pennies for the PS3.
