Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones
« on: December 11, 2005, 12:49:10 AM »
So I guess no one bought it here?
I had trouble finding it in stores, some guy at Target even told me it was only released on PS2 and X-Box and I was like
Anyway, it's a good game, somewhat harder than Warrior Within and graphically cooler in my opinion.
What do you guys think?

Unless I see something on the web addresing the insane bugs in POP2 last year, there's no way I'll be giving this one a look... the QA needs to be better.

Ummm try actually reading up on the game... Every review I've seen hadn't proclaimed this game as a return to form after the slip up that was Warrior Within. It's been highly praised and widely reviewed, so there is no excuse for tossing it in the same boat as WW at this point.

I prefered WW to SoT. At least the reviews gave you fair warning that the game would be a pile of crap.

Ubisoft is king of "great" games whose ports are as bad as the games are supposedly "great".

Well I definately echo that for Rainbow 6 (minus the N64 incarnation) and Ghost Recon series... but I think the Splinter Cell series has always been a great port, despite the lack of multiplayer support. The Prince of Persia and BGE were solid ports as welll. I think Midway screws the Cube alot harder when  it comes to sloppy ports.

The Cube versions of Splinter Cell have all been ports of the PS2 ports. Without multiplayer. There's nothing great about that. Prince of Persia and Beyond Good & Evil were better. I don't know if those games were handled by Ubisoft Shanghai at all, but I believe the games were concurrently developed across all three platforms, rather than being developed primarily for the Xbox then ported and reported.

Does Jordan Merchner appear in the credits at all because otherwise I can automatically tell it's crap.
So anyway I was in the shopping center demanding to know where they kept the western potatoes when Drive Safe came around with Simple Plan blaring out telling me that driving on the wrong side of the road is ok if the other guy is drunk while I immediately jumped on my dirt racer to zoom out of ther

Oh I think so, yes!
At least, it says in the manual that "Prince of Persia" was created by him.
