I fear the world may never appreciate your new rating system

Sounds groovy, I recently bought Astro Boy Omega Factor for 10 bux so I'm in the mood for some more DESTROY action, but alas, Mario Kart DS has priority.

What's up with the portable world eclipsing consoles in terms of quality? It's outright bizarre.

Yeah, at this point the DS isn't even a handheld any more.

I nearly didn't even write 'GBA' in this review, rather 'the other slot on my DS'

Well, perhaps devs are going to handhelds becauser of lower costs? Or because current gen consoles are dying?

In fact, with my new rating system, wherein points are deduced by the number of times "stats" or "cards" come into play, the game scores a perfect 10.

I like the sound of this system!

Can you reconfigure the controls? I'd hate to jump with A and shoot with B on the GBA's awful layout.

Finally it's out and I have to say I don't like it that much. It's pretty hard to see what's going on, enemies and bullets don't stand out much and in that rotating "save the chicks" stage it's hard to see what shape the terrain actually has (is this a wall or a slope?). The first stage of the second moon is awful, bullets coming from off-screen, no room to dodge and having to hold down both face buttons to keep firing (ow, my hand!) come together to form the worst experience I've had with any recent game. I hope I won't have to repeat that stage if I ever beat it... I think I have to invest into a GB Player for that, holding any face button on the DS just plain hurts, I can't even use the idex finger of my right hand because it cramps up.

Which control layout are you guys using? I'm going with Simple B, that way I can avoid having to hold down B. Unfortunately some idiot decided that autofire shouldn't work in that one vehicle stage.
