We still have to wait a week while the rest of the world plays , and I'm not going to rush out and buy a DS only for my router (Netgear DG824M) to not be supported.

Sits patiently and rocks.

I played some Nintendo guy, umm NOA Boggs I think? something like that. And I could not believe how fast he was moving, I could see him using Yoshi to hop all over the place, I guess he was constantly boosting but good god! The other 2 people and I didn't stand a chance. Youll see me as Matt Dahl, and my avitar is a picture of Sonics feet, that I made myself!

So is wifi mode always set to 50cc?  I mean, it has to be one of the ccs cause you don't get an option...

Do you have a CC option for any MK multiplayer mode?

Finally got it...The first thing I did (that is, not including the 15 minutes I took inputting my avatar...Stupid dots were too small >=O) was head into the first "level" of Mission stages...After a bit of patience, I got the highest rank on all of them...Then I played Mushroom Cup 50CC and won with a two-star rank...Then I had to quit because my fingers are KILLING ME...So yeah, great game, but only for periods of no more than an hour at a time...

Bill, did you unlock something when you got trip-stars on all of the mission 1 stages?  Please only say yes or no, as I don't want to know what you unlocked, just if.

How long did that take?  I'm having a hard time getting above two stars.  On the first set of mission stages I've only managed two 3-star ranks.  I need more practice.

Nope...

Like 25 minutes-ish?  I repeated a few of them like 20-30 times before I got it down...

Out of curiosity, how many others have cramps or pain when playing this game.  I guess those with large hands have difficulty especially with power sliding.  I get a bit of discomfort, but two friends of mine can hardly play as they get pain after just a few minutes with the game.

I get some cramping after a few straight hours of playing, but usually by then I need to take a break anyway.

My right hand gets a tad cramped due to holding down the A button constantly.  They really should have changed that function to the B button.

Personally, I can play forever and not have problems... Unless I try power sliding all the time (some of those missions suck)... My hands just aren't formed to do power slides, I guess.

Ow!  My right hand is completely stiff now, and that's not an exaggeration...Stupid Mario Kart and it's awesomeness... >=|

I've had a busy time with it today: played through 6 50cc GPs, a few rounds of battle mode with bots, and top-ranked every stage in the first four "worlds" or levels in Mission mode...Fun stuff! ^_^

The difference is the A button is slightly closer to the edge of the DS, which makes it slightly harder to constantly hold down.

Also, I'm not really digging the new Rocket Start method; it took me a long time to figure out the proper timing, and even though I now know it, I still forget often and try to do the old method.

The timing is similar to that of Super Mario Kart and the closer to get it to the part where you spin out the faster you go.
It's best.

I love this game etc best game ever etc blah blah but I HATE Yoshi Falls. Is there some trick to this track i'm not getting? People are flogging me in that by like 10 seconds, i'm not even good enough to unlock the Staff Ghost to see how it's done properly. That huge long water part, how are people going through that? I can't unless I have three mushrooms, but I see people do it almost every lap, is that a coincidence that they happen to get a triple mushroom or what?

Also, has anyone noticed the item stat actually having significance? It doesn't seem to make a difference to me.

Aha, I hate Yoshi Falls too...Probably the only thing "Yoshi" that I hate in this world... ;_;

I also finished Mission Mode completely top-ranked last night...You don't get anything from it besides bragging rights... >=|
