International POST like a pirate day.
« on: September 14, 2005, 01:23:34 AM »
Monday the 19th of september is "International Talk Like a Pirate Day", so I was thinking at the forums we should have an day of posting like a pirate. On monday I will be posting like a pirate, and I want you to join me.....You know using phrases such as "Ahoy","Avast!", "Bilge", "Scurvy" and "Bung Hole" in everyday posts. If no-one joins me I will have to be a lone pirate!

But it would be a huge coming together for the forum and could be one of the highlights in its history.

Thanks to that ol' sea shanty that Kind Admin has in his signature is it? It has inspired me to propose this.

All ye bloody chewbans best make way. For the Revolution be nigh on the horizon, and those who're too sane would be wise to hide in the ballast hold. Let ye expire with yer little boomerang in hand. *Desperate. Desperate.* Quiet, Phillip! I've finally caught their attention.

A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel tied to the front of his pants.  The bartender asks "why do you have a steering wheel tied to your pants".  The pirate replies "AAARRR ... it's driving me nuts".
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!
