So uh...I want this game bad.  I'm just wondering, exactly what is there to do online?  From what I've read, it seems that it's just that you can go into other towns and steal fruit and that's it.

Now floating around there somewhere is my constellation that *looks* like the Triforce, however, keen eyed sky watchers will note that it is, in fact, not called the Triforce at all...

Anyone who has had luck catching the tuna (aka GIANT*** FISH in the ocean), just how do you do it?  It's impossible to catch it like any other fish...

Has anyone been screwed by Redd?

Circumstances follow:

I bought a painting off him and tried to donate it to the museum but Blathers told me it was counterfeit! I sold it to Nook for a whopping 10 bells!

Edit: I also caught the tuna without doing anything differently.

You should probably save a tuna for a fishing tournament (unless you have the trophy already).  It's not like Tortimer knows when you caught them, it seems like any fish at any time is eligible.

I won the fishing tourney yesterday with a Tuna. Oddly, the fish database showed it at 7.5 feet (90 inches) but Tortimer said it was 82.3 inches.  I should have turned the mayor into Copper for fraud!

So... has anyone calculated the interest rate at the bank?

I thought it was kind if intimidating when Tortimer said that Truffles (I hate her anyway) got a tuna of 99.9 inches.  She eventually got a 102.5er but the 99.9 was more scary since it was 9s.

I think the numbers in the fish database are just averages, or typical lengths, otherwise if they were all exactly what it said, you could catch several of the largest fish and be guaranteed a trophy every time.  But as far as I can tell, you only really need one trophy...seeing as how there's no date or even the name of the champ on them.

I wasn't aware that there was interest in the bank...I don't recall it in the GameCube version.  Is there really interest now?

I remember using the "doppelganger trick" in the original game to multiply my money.  At an average of 14.5 million Bells a day, it still took me over a couple months to get to 999999999 Bells just for that stupid post office model!  I wonder how I'm going to get that amount now, short of getting a cheat device (which I don't want to).

Wow... big tunas guys.  I won the fishing tournament with "just" a 58.3 inch Stringfish.  I've gotten all the fish in season now except the coelocanth and popeyed goldfish, and just have ants to complete the bugs in season.

Unfortunately I won't be back online until New Year's Day.  I have some good stuff for some of you guys too.  :-(

Hey, just a quick question that I'm hoping someone can clear up.  I was asked to redo one of the animals "phrases" they say all the time and after I did she said that she would say it next time but it never happened and she always says the same old thing.  So now she's stuck saying the same thing because of this lousy glitch.  I was wondering if there is any way to change a catch phrase whenever you wanted or if it randomly lets you change their phrases when you speak to them at a later time?

1. If you don't want to cheat, grow and crapload of exotic fruit and fish a lot, and stuff. For fishing you can get a lot of big fish by scaring away all the small ones.
2. Either it's a present or a UFO, you shoot them down with the slingshot.  I have no idea about times, but seeing as I how I haven't seen one in weeks I must play at all the wrong ones.
3.  What do YOU do with a snowball on the ground in the winter?

Oh, if you mean the ones that roll around by themselves....DUNG BEETLE
