From the same source as the Yuji Naka quote, there is a new one from Peter Molyneux:

"There is a line at the end of the book ´Game Over´ and it is: ´Never underestimate Nintendo´. That is all I can say about the controller."

In all seriousness is that blog really reliable?

I don't think it is. I thought about it and there's no way he knows anything about the controller.

I think that video would make the perfect intro to a 30 minute infomercial.

I actually think Nintendo should do a 30minute infomercial and play it on late nite TV but originally air it during prime nite-time and prime morning-time television.  Full fledged demonstrations and testimonials complete with the 'limited time, over the phone, special bonus offer' with an 800 number and website url at the bottom for purchase and information.

I don't know about you guys, but I would probably watch the infomercial all the time, and do you have any idea how many things get sold through infomercials?  Whether you need it or not, you want it.  It sounds like a good idea to me.

Yeah, infomercials and telathons make a lot more than people think. Plus that'd be great advertising. Imagine the x360 unveiling on MTV, but cool.

Wow that's a really powerful video. I think Nintendo should continue that type of advertising: "A proud history. An exciting future." as it says on the top of Nintendo's corporate page.
Thanks for listening.

What's in the video; it wouldn't work for me.

Did it have something to do with these supposed pics of the new Mario Bros from GC?

No. is something like the intro of the fake Nintendo On video showing every Nintendo console and how they expanded the definition of gaming.

Every console but Virtual Boy...  wonder why that one got no mention at all?
and the the video is an HTTP movie and those take a while to load, so let the web page just sit there for a while as you go about your normal web surfing and you will hear when the video start about a minute or two later

edit: I went to a party last nite, a i ran into this guy that did an internship over at Ubisoft, said that they were working on games for X360 and stuff like that, So I asked him about the REV, the system and more imortantly the controller.  He said that there was nothing special about the contoller, just that it was avery GC like only smaller.  I didn't find out anything special, but I figured what he has seen was just a bare bones revolutionless dev kit controller.

He was full of BS. Interns don't see things that some major game studios even haven't.

I'm sure every major game studio has seen it. Some just say they haven't so they aren't bothered. Either that or they're just waiting for Nintendo to fully unveil everything before they announce that they are working on a few projects.

Unless Nintendo is stupid, of course.

Stevey, that's so ridiculously disrespectful to Gunpei Yokoi (who, for those of you unaware, did pass away because of injuries involving a car accident) it's unbelievable.
I am Karl Castaneda's news-posting clone, also known as Karl Castaneda #2. I have an inferiority complex, thanks to my being a clone. Fear me!

I think is more of a direct accusation towards Yamauchi, knowing Yamauchi San, it somehow doesnt seem crazy he planned the accident

I know, I know, its not joking matter, just trying to explain Stevey's post, no one can disrepect Yokoi, even with the virtual voy in his curriculum

Not only that. He survived the initial accident. He got out of his car to make sure the other driver was okay and was struck by another car. He was great man behind some of Nintendo's greatest ideas, franchises, etc. He's the reason for Metroid and the Gameboy line for example. He died being a good person. He was making sure that the other driver was okay. Let the man RIP.

I don't know if this has been reported yet. If this is the secret behind the controller, I'd be pretty happy.
