I know MS is including a headset port right in there controllers so they will have a mic option right there if any game companies want to use it in a game.  Requiring a fairly cheap headset isn't all that big of a deal so if developers wanted to use voice functions they could.  I guess what I'm getting at is if Nintendo is serious about online and trying to match features would it be to much to assume that there will be a mic readily available through their headsets?

P.S...friday has come and gone and no new news...looks like Mario's prophecy hasn't come true  if I we don't hear news in a week or so Matt will get a record number of hate mails sent to him...I'm beginning to think he likes them though :/

Here in Pacific time it's only 11pm.  Technically there's still time right?

And it's going to be Friday in Hawaii for quiet a while still.

Alright, i've figured it out! It will happen on Wednesday, August 24! The 5 year anniversary of the GC unveiling! That magic number 5, it was right in front of me the whole time, I was supposed to add 5 to Friday the 19th, to get the 24th! It all fits!

If you are in real life and you're a squad commander, do you press a button to tell your squad where to go?

Actually you raise a hand for "attention!" and then gesture the order. Maybe the US Army handles it differently but that's what our instructor told us (I did mention I was a soldier for  a few days until I was released for psychological problems?).

Well I'm sure the method of communication differs on the situation, but that wasn't my point...

From the same source as the Yuji Naka quote, there is a new one from Peter Molyneux:

But mostly honored.

When the fans with blogs are the ones with the big new news it says a lot about how hard the big media is really trying or that they're all wrapped up in NDAs which begs the question; why keep secrets from fans if everyone else in the industry already knows.
