my lik-sang order has taken over 2 weeks to reach me now Hong Kong is a 3 hour flight from Perth then 3 hours drive to Busselton

you only need software if the thing's actually using the "SD" part. Most of the devices I've seen just treat it like a big MMC card.

This may be happening around the time of the GB Micro's release...
Gamespot has an interview with Nintendo bigwig George Harrison...he is mentioning that they are giving strong consideration to packaging the Micro together with a Play-yan adapter....
