this game sounds pretty cool..even though its pinball it sounds kinda cool with the Way of Ninten
i know that in japanese a philosophy is called a do..so the way of ninten is nintendo...and ninten means "greater good above personal needs". which is what i think third parties should be doing.

watching the g4 reggie interview..he says "nintendo has a game soul"

Yeah its a unique cool concept and you even get to yell at the gamecube microphone to command your army. I suppose Odama will be a good way to vent out after a bad way or a good way to be wacky and randomly yell directions.

I downloaded a video of it, and I have no idea what's going on anywhere on the screen, and that tells me it's a winner. Can't wait to play it.

The fact that it uses the GCN Mic and Bongos, along with being two player tells me that it's a winner.

Wait, it uses the bongos? That's perfect for pinball, sweet!
Thanks for listening.

MarioAllStar - don't get your hopes up.  My understanding is a second player can use the bongos to build your soldiers' morale by tapping at a constant speed.  Basically (s)he acts as the cadence player in a marching band.  Doesn't sound too enthralling.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I think the bongo support has been removed infavor of the microphone to direct the troops so that they wont be crushed by the odama.

"I think the bongo support has been removed infavor of the microphone to direct the troops so that they wont be crushed by the odama."

That would be a very odd move.  There are three games that support the bongos and they're all reasonably popular.  The mic however is only used in Mario Party 6.  Odama is a very quirky game and it seems like it's target market would better fit the bongo userbase than the mic one.  The type of gamers that are interested in Odama seem to be pretty hardcore and hardcore gamers wrote Mario Party off as rehashed junk years ago.  To me it seems that potential Odama buyers would be more likely to own Donkey Konga than Mario Party 6.

I was really surpised to hear the Yoot Saito is behind it. Since about 1995 he's been re-releasing Sim Tower, a game he designed under different names on different platforms, (I believe the DS version is on the way). So to hear that not only is he doing a new game but an original game was quite shocking.

Sim Tower is a beautifal game.  When I heard Yoot was behind this it made my intrest go up.  Looks way cool, bongo support sounds fun.
It may be simple, but it ain't easy.

Smart man. Mario Party is like crack to females. Ditto Animal Crossing and Mario Kart.

A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice.

You know, I think it would be funnier if Odama was turned into Katamari Pinball...
