Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers
« on: May 19, 2005, 11:17:42 AM »
Well fellow Guilty Gear fans this game is comming out for the DS, Gamesarefun has screenshots of this game and it a super smash bros type of game. Sounds good to me up to 4 players.

4 players?  Uh oh, if it's anything like Guilty Gear Isuka, it's a dead game.

OMG, I just saw the pics.  I am really loving the DS right now, this game looks GORGEOUS!, and it doesn't appear to look like it'll play like Isuka either.  This could be really good!

I played it today. It's really way, way too early to judge how it actually plays. (The buttons were jump, jab/chain, power hit, and one special move). If your move reaches, it's no prob to hit guys above or below. Only a few guys were playable in this one. I saw May, Ky, Sol, Potemkin, and I think Millia or somebody. It's also going to have customizable Robo-Kys, just like GGI.

And what are you guys talking about, Isuka is awesome

I'm just interested in how the music will turn out. Because.. I LIKED the GBA's demented attempt.

Music should be a lot better.  There won't be any excuse to use the GBColor analog sound channels anymore because of the GBA only having 4 digital.

Too early to like or hate it, and I couldn't hear what it sounded like on the floor (should used the headphones I brought, hm?).

The animation was awesome, though. I'll say that.

While were on this subject how would you compare the DS  GG to the PSP GG? I know both of them are alittle different but if you tried them both which demo did you like better?

Isn't the PSP GG just a port of a console version?

Nope its supposed to be a 2d brawler type of game but the multiplayer is supposed to be like the multiplayer in GG:X2

For those who may have forgotten about this game, there are now movies out there for this game and OMG the game looks incredible!  The presentation is fantastic with animation that seems to be completely intact aside from anything that used a 3D effect, and the music which seems to be DIRECTLY RECORDED from GGX2.  Gameplay seems to be a modified GG Isuka with items you can pick up that have various effects on what goes on in the battle.  The touchscreen is used for various minigames that you can play outside of the fighting itself.
My only problem with it all so far that I now have to put down another pre-order really soon.

I wonder if they will keep those damn flashy but deadly special attacks.  Ya know, the ones where you pull it off and the other player automatically dies no matter how much life bar they have.
