This IS a lot of fun.  If I weren't going to Star Wars tonight, I'd probably stay up all night working on it.  Hopefully there will be some more developments by the time I get back.  Some people have eluded to a Star Wars tie-in (maybe a Revolution trailer before the movie), but I find this unlikely.  One of my friends went to see the movie last night at an employee showing, and he didn't say anything about a trailer.

Here is an interesting tidbit guys. I just got a phone call from a colleague at EA who received a memo to attend a Nintendo conference at 10:00am PST on the show floor tomorrow morning. Nothing else was said, however so it could be about anything. Not necessarily Revolution.

10AM? That's the exact time in the Nintendogs pic

EDIT: TWO! Reggie emphasised TWO! TWO NINTENDO CONFERENCES!

I'm sorry if this has been reported here before (I've been following this all day, and I missed this).  These numbers make it way too good to be not true.  How is this possible, if it's false?

Quoted from Tuelho at http://mozlapunk.web-log.nl/log/2580479

Well, sounds idiot but makes a lot of sense to me.

In the "fake" movie, the counter gets a delay when reach the number 211 348 824, a friend of mine was thinking and joking and he found this interesting calc:

211+348+824 = 1383 [Result 1]

2+3+8 = 13
1+4+2 = 7
1+8+4 = 13
13*7*13 = 1183 [Result 2]

1383-1183 = 200 [Result 3]

1183/200 = 5,915
1383/200 = 6,915

Both results, in backwards:
5 19 5
5 19 6

Then I noticed a date stamp:
05/19/2005
05/19/2006

You can say 'bullshit' but I must remember that it is a puzzle XD

</endquote>

I'd have to say 5/19/2005 is the day they reveal more about Revolution (tomorrow) and 5/19/2006 will be the release date.

Interesting.

How can you not love this? Music sound familiar?

Also of note on that site: "Oh man, my eyes are hurting now from all this work, time for a rest. My eyes are hurting from all this work, ill take a break for now."

There's been a whole bunch of clues related to eyes. If I'm not mistaken, there was a topic a week or so back about why cube.ign was showing so many eye pictures.

Wouldn't 5/19/06 be the last day of next year's E3 conference? Seems like a weird time to launch the console.

Just looking at the character selection page on that site pisses me off... Thank god he included guys like Stanley and "Baseball Guy" on that list, can't wait to play as them. -_- I'm not even going to mention how he wants tons of different variations on Mario, but what really pisses me off is that no one from Advance Wars is mentioned .

A second conference... Reggie emphased the number "2" in the conference.

Hmmm, if it does launch on 19/5/2006, NES's 21st anniversary

21st - 19 = 2

2.

Also, I don't know if this has been mentioned but

512.000.000 : 1000 = 512.000 (Millisec. -> Sec.)
512.000 : 60 = 8533.3 (Sec. -> Min.)
8533.3 : 60 = 142.2 (Min. -> Hours.)
142. 2 : 24 = 5.9 (Hours -> Days)

So there we have 6 days and May 13 (The day this video was leaked) + 6 days = May 19

From Game Bunker, but now pulled.

The Nintendo Revolution 'Conspiracy'

Nintendo and the "Aries" conspiracy put to bed.

Guys I'm here today to do an unfortunate bit of rumor control.  It has come to me through both media and personal sources that there is a lot of rumbling right now about the Nintendo Revolution and the fact that not a single game title or controller was shown at E3 2005.

To put the rumors to bed, anything you may have heard about a mysterious poster named "Aries" on the Brokensaints, or any other forum for that matter; is bunk.  That's right it's pure and utter lies.  How do I know this?  Well I am unfortunate enough to know that "Aries" was never a Nintendo employee, nor has he worked for any video game company or has he been close to one in the past ever.  No, as a matter of fact Aries is just getting out of high school, and he's a writer at GameBunker that goes by the screenname "Phoenix Dark".

To confirm some things here; what Nintendo showed you at E3 was indeed what they have of the Revolution, obviously they were not confident in showing off new software or a controller yet.  I cannot tell you if there is anything "else" to the Revolution puzzle, but honestly; I would doubt it, anything I could tell you is pure speculation, and guess what?  So is the word of Aries.

To prove how serious I am about this, I'm going to let this message perforate throughout the internet and ask please that the administrators of the Brokensaints forums where Aries first posted, email me the IP address he registered with; so I can confirm for them in private that Aries is none other than one of our writers here, and simply wanted to start some hype up about his favorite console.

That's all I have for you, there is no conspiracy, there is nothing more than what you read on Gamespot and IGN; if you want to speculate, speculate outside of Aries, because everything he said was pulled out of the air.

Admins of Brokensaints and other effected boards; please direct all correspondence to nwilson@gamebunker.com, so I can confirm the identity of "Aries" for you.  Other than that, please accept my deepest apologies of what appears to be a huge sham.

Wait, the guy said that Retro was working on a "Halo killer" and it wasnt a Metroid sequel, still, Metroid Prime 3 was announced for the Rev right? if so then thats enough to debunk this whole thing.

Why was it pulled? Heh... this is getting ridiculous.

I don't think anybody doubts the "On" video was fake... what's being speculated is just that there's more to it than meets the eye. I think anorexic Mario is suspicious in and of itself... they make a pretty good-looking human model and they can't even model Mario as we all know and love him? Inconsistent.

"Wait, the guy said that Retro was working on a "Halo killer" and it wasnt a Metroid sequel, still, Metroid Prime 3 was announced for the Rev right? if so then thats enough to debunk this whole thing."

Who's to say they're not working on both? I seem to recall them having a massive expansion recently. Besides, why is the video so lackluster? This is Retro we're talking about here... they should have absolutely no problems pumping out a lengthy video to make everyone's jaw drop.

heh heh, nice move Game Bunker I'm sure they are scoring themselves lots of traffic for doing that. On a side note, asking for a site to just give you the IP addy for someone is pretty shady. I know I wouldn't want my personal info being given out simply if someone asked.

Most likely so they can get the benefit, lots of people linking to them on forums, without actually taking a hit in credibility as it's not there anymore. Just my theory.

I can't wait for this game. I was lucky enough to catch a Retro Studios employee at breakfast this morning and asked him a few questions, notably, "I take it the ship firing its ordnance in the preview is a sign of things to come?" He just smiled at me and said, "Metroid Prime 3 is going to surprise you to such a degree that you'll be exhausted by the time you're finished with it."
