Pirated CDs and DVDs are bad since you can go out and buy them still.

But if you are refering to a CD or DVD that is no longer in print and is not avalable on a iTunes type servies then yes I don't understand that as well.

I see my intent was missed... Just because it's not currently available does not mean that a corperation will never decide to release it. Yet, if everyone figures it's ok just to boot it in the mean time, what would sales look like when they finally do release it?

Par example, I'm gonna do my darned hardest to not ever steal from nintendo.

But are you stealing from Nintendo when the only way to get the game is by buying a 16 year old Used copy off eBay?
Sure their is the slim chance that Nintendo might relese a port in the Future but are you willing to wait 10+ years for it?

[bump] Holy Grail of psp hacking found! A team of hackers with no lives have found a (downloadable) exploit that can downgrade any psp back to the hackable version 1.5 firmware with a memory stick and battery hack. More importantly, the hack will fix psps that have been bricked and "will continue to work for all future firmwares." link & vid

I saw this as well. Totally awesome. I have always wanted a PSP just to mod it and play the whole SNES and NES and Genesis libraries on a handheld. There are a few games I actually want on it, but that's second to it's mod-ability. My fiancee will be getting me one for Christmas, a little while off, but at least I'll get the Slim version.

From what I've heard you can get the PSP to play its own pirated games. It's insane... but maybe that explains why no one buys PSP games (even though the hardware is selling well).
