wow... I REALLY like that mock up. Unlike the Cube I'd be proud to have that fine piece of hardware sitting in front of my TV. The controller looks a lot more accessible as well... probably a fake, but a damn fine one.

Those are fake.  Somebody posted them earlier as their personal take.

The Controller is interesting...but I think the design is horrible...and proof alone that it is fake.

the console is awsome and the controller sucks. to little. it looks like a oval or something. they need to make a controller with like a pad like on a labtop computer that you can touch with your finger that would be cool. but probably hard.

ok, here's my take on the "prototype" pics:

Console: I love the design. However, if they are going to use larger discs for the REV and still allow for backwards compatability, they might want to use the pop-top like the GC. As for the built in wireless for the controllers, i like and don't. I would like it more if there was still an option for wired controllers

Controller: AHHHH! IT'S FUGLY!! I don't like the complexity of the controller and the simple design. No hidden buttons in the grips, no touch pad "analog stick". I kinda like the Li-Ion battery idea. no headphone port, that's stupid. Let's have a controller that's very similar to the GC one.

I don't see how a touch pad replaces an analog stick.  It doesn't seem lik you can get the same type of feedback from it-
you are either touching the screen or not- you can touch it up or down, and drag your finger around, but it doesn't seem
to have the slight touch sensitiveity that the stick has.  WHich comes in handy when you need to creep slowly.

That's rubbish. I declare this mock up weak. Plus it's ridiculously wide. That's like a pancake.

Well, the little "Drawn by N-Revolution" should give away that they're just fantasy mockups.

I'm not digging either one. The console looks like a warped GameCube.  And a controller with grips that turn inward? I get a stiff neck playing DS as it is. I don't want my wrists going next.

The controller doesn't look good, especially the lack of buttons and the fact that it's one block instead of two "lightsabers". Too little control options. Not even Super Mario World would work on that and Nintendo doesn't make controllers that can't run Mario.

Console looks awesome. Warped Gamecube? Huh?

I like the idea of having two big buttons you can activate with your palms, but otherwise, yeah, the controller sucks.

1) Squashed GameCube what?  No, the Revolution shouldn't resemble the GC in looks at all.
2) I really really REALLY don't want to see Nintendo jump on the way-too-curvy bandwagon.  I'd expect MS to, what with the whole windows-stealing history, but Nintendo should stick to something more traditional-looking this time.  The N64 had a good curve:straight, making it look sleek to this day.
3) Top-loading systems are uncool and prior generation in casual gamers' eyes.  They don't understand that sliding disc trays are another point of moto failure and make it easier to screw up the insertion of GC mini-discs.  Nintendo does, though, and I'll bet they stick with a top-loading system. After all, that's cheaper, too.

I think it looks pretty cool overall, i'd be happy with that.  Whoever designed that did a fairly good job with just the lil bit we know about Revolution.  I think the controllers look fine to me anyway.  U know Nintendo could intentially leak pics of the Revolution and there would be people saying that it sucks but as soon as it came out they would be like "dude, that's the coolest thing ever".  Karazy how that works.

Though the white round one looks pretty sexy...1) they'll get bashed for beign iPod-ish (unless the Apple rumors are true)...2) great, a next-gen lunchbox.

ah, you got my hopes my hopes up and then crushed them horribly, platinumknight.  

I like N Revolution's mockups aesthetically. Functionally......you might as well put gyros in a gamecube controller rather than go with that thing. Also, I like the slot-loading drive.....but I doubt one would work for differently-shaped media.
