I've noticed quite a few people here seem to harbor a little bit of pent-up frustration and anger against Nintendo in general and their GC tactics in particular. Maybe because there's no specific outlet to bitch about anything and everything Nintendo does wrong, people are letting their nitpicks pervade threads that have nothing to do with their nitpicks. Now, I'm no psychiatrist but I'm sure this can't be healthy so I thought we should have this thread before one of us dons a headsack, brandishes a chainsaw and goes off on a killing spree.

So without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I give you a place to bitch about things that don't quite fit anywhere else, a place to voice and discuss your fears and complaints without fear of being seen as a negative nancy. This is just a place to vent. Your rants don't have to make sense. I'm not arrogant enough to suggest that you limit them to this thread, but this is the perfect place to put them. Shall I start?

1) Not enough DS game software. I'm a broke college student and I find myself agreeing with the people who say the DS doesn't have enough games at the moment. They barely fill up one shelf at my local EB. I can't bring myself to drop $190 on a DS and game yet because I can't find any game I must have that's worth that amount of money. I'm fully expecting all this to change once Zelda or Metroid DS come out, but until then... what's taking so long?

2) Not enough new franchises. Aside from Wario Ware and Pikmin, Nintendo hasn't really made any new franchises this generation. Don't get me wrong, I love playing Metroid more than any other game out there, but at the same time I can't help but think of what Nintendo could do if they held an interdivisional brainstorm session to come up with a completely awesome new franchise and recognizable main character. Or better yet, if they founded another division to come up with new characters under Miyamoto's watch.

I'll come up with more if this takes off. Somebody mention online, just to get it over with.

I have to bitch about my freaking deodorant which cause skin irritation under my arm-pits and made the skin peel.....because it was OUT-OF-DATE i mean seriously does deodorant have an out of date?

I hate the fact that Nintendo doesn't cater to my every need. I hate the fact that Nintendo won't get rid of the Mario Party franchise even though they are a lot of fun and is a very popular franchise. I hate the fact that a plumber is Nintendo's mascot when it should be some generic guy with a gun...and buff muscles. I hate the fact that Nintendo trys new things. I hate the fact that Nintendo doesn't try new things. I hate the fact that Nintendo makes tiku tiku tiku! games that make me question my sexuality because I'm so insecure. I hate the fact that Nintendo isn't cool. I hate the fact that my friends make fun of me for owning a purple lunchbox. I hate the fact that Nintendo's controller isn't a generic piece of crap. I hate the fact that Nintendo doesn't hav grphx. I hate the fact that Nintendo doesn't use sex to sell their games. I hate the fact that Nintendo's latest "innovation" isn't an anti-gravity hub teleporter thing-a-ma-bob. I hate the premise of GC/GBA connectivity even though Nintendo is not forcing me to buy a GBA. I hate the fact that Nintendo doesn't try to improve 3rd party relations. I hate the fact that Nintendo HAS tried to improve 3rd party relations. I hate the fact that I'll hate the "Revolution" no matter how impressive it because I've set my standards to Star Trek heights. I hate the fact that Nintendo has too much spread between releases. I hate the fact that Nintendo has too many games out around the same time. I hate the fact that there's no blood in Nintendo games. I hate the fact that licensed music is rare in Nintendo games. I hate the fact that Nintendo must hate me forever and I have no idea why.

I hate that I thought I had a great idea for a random avatar, and now I realize that I stole it from Deguello I was too lazy to go through with it anyway, so I just made a bunch like the one I have now only in different colors. Which I'm still going to use, so there.

I hate the fact that campus restaurants don't open till 5. What time am I supposed to eat lunch? Crazy Americans.

Just to be clear, we're blaming all this on Nintendo, right? They're behind all of this somehow.

I also hate this damned school that I go to!
I also hate it when a show will have a 2 min commercial break, 3 min of show, and then 5 min of more commercial.
I also hate it when Cartoon Network cuts of Yu-Yu Hakusho in the middle of the G-- damn fight between Yuske abd Sensui.
I hate all the home work that I should be doing right now.
And I hate being constantly shut down by a girl I dance with at every school function!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate how sellers on ebay list their auctions as 7-day or 10-day listings. Everyone knows that no one bids until the last day! So I have to bookmark the auction, and wait the 6 and a half or 9 and a half days until I can bid. In the meantime, I have to keep checking ebay to make sure shorter auctions for the same item haven't popped up.

I hate Melanie Griffith. I don't really know why, she just makes me very angry whenever I see her.

I hate pimply faced teenagers who think they know everything, while they hide behind their computers, because nobody likes them in real life. Whoopsie, looks like I just offended nearly all of you...

I also hate how I let my emotions control my actions sometimes, when I should be more rational. Hmm, that might be it...

I dislike how certain people here have to ruin threads with nonsensical answers because they think it's funny and claim this forum would be boring if there wasn't some kind of completely idiotic lollerskates comment in every serious thread. For gates's sake, keep your off-topic comments here.

When I came to this forum I experienced it as a very strict environment for serious debate with moderators less tolerant than StaSi agents and rules prohibiting pretty much any stupid comments. Now we've reached the point where people constantly derail any thread they don't like with stupid replies, even those that were created for debating a serious topic. People creating gimmick accounts to post idiotic comments and be "teh funnay!". Behaviour that would have gotten you a quick ban back in the PGC StaSi days.

I thought about it long and hard and I only have a few things I hate about Nintendo.

(1) I hate how Super Mario Brothers 2, 3, World and Yoshi's Island were released as four separate GBA games at full price. They really should have been released either as a compilation or for $20 each.

(2) Even though I respect Nintendo for not doing this, I kind of hate it that they refuse to kick Sony or Microsoft when they're down, even though Sony and Microsoft have no problems running their mouth about Nintendo.

(3) I'm not a fan of Nintendo's press releases, but I wouldn't say I hate them.

(4) I hate how television advertisements for games include almost no actual in-game footage. Even cut scenes would be better than the stuff that's out there now. Although, I can't really fault Nintendo for doing this because very few games have much in-game footage.

Me too. I think it's a squeeze-it bottle thing since I never recall encountering it back in glass-bottle-only days.

Regarding Nintendo I don't really care for some decisions they make but the only thing I really HATE about them is that they're stubborn. They force a lot of stupid restrictions for no reason and as a result us fans get screwed on options. I hate how if Nintendo doesn't like something they will not only make no effort to accomodate it on their consoles but will seemingly make an effort to ensure that it doesn't appear on their console at all. They clearly design everything for their own needs and that short-sighted way of thinking is really annoying particularly when Nintendo are such great game artists. It's ironic that they would want to restrict anything.

As for general stuff:
I hate how professional wrestling sucks now.
I hate how entertainment is frequently dumbed down for mass appeal instead of having multiple different products for different tastes.
I hate how the general public accepts this.

I hate how every game coming out for the DS will be complained about. If it only uses the touch screen it's not deep enough. If it doesn't use the touch screen at all it's a poor use of the DS and shouldn't have come out. If it only uses the touch screen for a few things it's a gimmick. If it uses both the touch screen and the buttons it's overly complicated.

Least that's what I've heard people whining about D=

This grew faster than I thought it would... I've thought of a couple more things I don't like about Nintendo.

1) They pander to the market's whims way too often... saying the DS is for games only then busting out the Play-Yan... moving from cartridges to discs... and now they seem to be seriously considering online. Each concession they make, they lose a little bit more of my respect. I want them to choose something and stick with it.

2) I'd have to agree with the GBA Mario stuff... that's just ridiculous. And LttP GBA is too expensive after all these years. What's up with that? I've been holding off on buying it for a ridiculously long time now.

I hate how I *almost* got fired for using a sick day the day b4 my birthday (my b-day was on a saturday and it was on a 3day weekend but thats not the point)
