Apparently EA is making a command and conquer on the DS, I wonder if there will be more RTS games announced for the DS hey maybe Blizzard can give starcraft another chance on consoles.

I've read the article on sengamer.nl and I'm pretty sure it's the real thing. EA is really gonna make that game for the DS.

Oh man, that is just awesome.

Red Alert >>> regular C&C... unless of course the franchise has taken a huge hit in quality due to EA screwing things up.

"unless of course the franchise has taken a huge hit in quality due to EA screwing things up."

Let's put it this way.  Westwood Studios, the creators of the series, no longer exists thanks to EA.  You can form your own conclusion on the state of the franchise from there.

Red Alert 2 was pretty good though... if they can at least keep it at that level, on the DS, then it should be great.

I forget... didn't RA2 come out after EA destroyed Westwood?

Some quick research reveals that 2002's Command & Conquer: Renegade was the last C&C game Westwood worked on so they did work on Red Alert 2.

EA did both C&C Generals and Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth (both use the same engine), both are very good 8/10 RTS's so EA's still got a good RTS team.

So wow, Age of Empires, Red Alert, Advance Wars, and probably someday Fire Emblem, Tactics Ogre (or Ogre Battle), and FF Tactics. Hopefully a Blizzard game and Pikmin too. So looks like strategy's taking off. Now the FPS please...

They kept the same team that made RA2 on to make Generals and BFME, but after recent layoffs in their studio, who is to know who is actually left on that team who knows how to make a good RTS?  I'm hoping, as I am a huge C&C fan, but I have this feeling that we may have finally gotten the ultimate shaft.

I'd rather EA port over Theme Park. ;___; I would be DELIGHTED to pay $70AUD for that. *Raises salt level on chips to a deadly amount*

Considering how hooked I currently am to that game all I demand is: A DS version of Perimeter!
