Well I was wondering if there are people here that think they made the wrong choice. Do I think I got the wrong handheld? Well there are some pretty good titles commin tot the PSP the games on the DS were the reason I got a DS. Well OK that and the fact that it came out sooner. Nope the dual screens and the touch screen didn't play any part in my decision.
I think buying the DS wasn't a bad choice but I would probably be just as happy with a PSP.

PSP will eventually have alot more than Sports and Racers... Especially once Zelda actually reaches the DS... (No Four Swords DS isnt a new Zelda Game...)

Im happy, but the drought sure is killing me... how much longer till Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario Kart DS and Demasked? I could replay Mario DS only so much

What are you talking about?  The only Zelda DS game in dev right now is a completely new game that will have a Four Swords multiplayer...

PSP will eventually have alot more than Sports and Racers...

And, um....That was my point... <_<  I can't stand sports titles and most racers...

pokemon dash>psp. trust me. seriously, that game owns souls.  I have both systems, and the DS will own the psp in the game department.

By your logic I should buy a PSP because of all the great DS games.

Good to hear that Pokemon Dash is actually a solid game.

Super Mario 64 DS isn't the only DS game available you know, buy Feel the Magic or Spider-Man 2 if you NEED a new game. People who complain about "game droughts" are ANNOYING.

The DS has the next Baten Kaitos and Advance Wars games... that alone is enough for me to stay with my current handheld choice. Others like the next Pokémon (the RPG one), Mario, and what not are simply gravy for me. I just can't wait, though, until the first run of DS games is over with... once developers stop doing touch screen things simply for the sake of doing touch screen things.

I own an Atari Lynx and I'm glad I didn't spend $800AUD to import a PSP with Ridge Racers. Because Lynx has KLAX and PSP doesn't. I am happy with my $20 Lynx, I made best choice. I think this is the end of the discussion. Everyone can go back to bed now (to touch Luigi).

Do I think I made the wrong choice?  No, well except for buying Spiderman 2, I am very happy with the DS.

The way I judge whether a purchase is good for me is simple.

1)Can I afford it.
2)Is it something I need or want.
3)Will I use it.

The DS is much more affordable than the PSP.  SO Check number one off.

It is a new portable system, that provides a unique experience, and doesn't sacrifice the traditional gaming that I enjoy.

Great games are coming out for the system, plus it plays my GBA games, and it is a nifty gadget.

Yeah.  It was a great purchase.

Now lets look at the PSP.

1)I can afford it, but can I afford it and the more expensive games...its alittle more costly.
2)Do I need a portable system that plays and acts like a home system...nope.  I usually play my system at home anyway.
3)Not really.  As I said.  I have a Gamecube for 3D games.

Well I didn't buy my DS but I am enjoying it so far, for what that's worth. For those of you rightly dissatisfied with the current software  offering in NA, look at some of the games Japan got. Many are very good and import-friendly.

I will buy a DS and I will like it, but the software lineup needs work right now which is why I'm waiting.  Having said that, the software for PSP is no better.  Time will solve both problems, and I think that better games will be available for DS.  I also think it's a more practical choice for portable gaming...annoying load times and mediocre battery life that makes WiFi play nearly impossible are holding the PSP way back as far as I'm concerned.  I can't speak for Joe Consumer, though.
That's my opinion, not yours.

No its not. A new Zelda game would be Nintendo using the Ocarina of Time engine to produce a single player Zelda for the DS... Which will eventually happen. Four Swords is a nice Multi player game, but its not a Zelda game.. Just like how Final Fantasy CC isnt a Final Fantasy Game..

Spiderman? Not very good. Feel The Magic is short... rented it already. There is a slight drought. Not because of lack of games, but because of lack of good games.

and the PSP has that Metal Gear Acid game... If it just wasnt a Card Game it might have been enough to convince me to pick a PSP up... Too bad its some sort of Yu Gi Oh Clone

I'm not too sure how smart of a choice buying the DS was (Wario Ware was good for maybe two days and the system isn't out here yet) but I'm pretty sure it was a better choice than buying a PSP.

I am still quite convinced that the reason for the drought is the demasked delay and as soon as that announcment happens we are gonna hear things like "Animal crossing release date announced... and its NEXT WEEK!"

A lot of sites say the release will be on  09/12/2005 (including GameSpot and IGN which are the best out there IMO). So... ain't that official release date?

And did u people know there was already an Animal Crossing game on the N64 called Animal Forest? Yeah ofcourse it was japan only... -_-"

(Zelda newbs irritate my inner Zelda otaku)

1) That release date is not official
2) Animal Forest is the same game as the Animal Crossing we got in the U.S.(actually it's the same game minus E-reader features supported in Animal Forest +)  It was only a name change...

What's wrong with a 3D Zelda on a handheld? I would LOVE to play OoT on the DS! MM too but they would probably put a save everywhere option in there because it's on a handheld which will ruin the game IMO.

I would love to have a 3-D zelda or a 2-D zelda either way.  Four Swords has made my "frothing demand" increased.  A 3-D four swords would be the ultimate as Minish Cap is harboring my lust right now for a 2-D.  Oh how I miss my pretty mind.

OoT is not suited for DS because it's an epic home console experience. 2D Zelda is more action-ish and less boringness camera panning and cinematic dialogue and cutscenes, well at least Zelda 1 was, LttP then dragged the series into boringness. I'd rather have simple action games than epic 3D cinematic games on DS.
