Just curious...what are y'all (including and exluding games) getting for whatever holiday you might celebrate around now?

Hannukah's started, Christmas is coming, I know next to nothing about Kwanzaa (lol), Diwali was a couple weeks ago...so...

My DS was kind of an early Christmas present (my parents paid for 50 bucks of it)...and I've found The Simpsons: Hit and Run, Baten Kaitos, and Soul Calibur II in my closet...^_^...oh, and if I can convince my parents, maybe some Nike Shox.  Damn those shoes are cool.

I'm looking to get several CDs (which I can name individually, if for some reason you're that interested), Paper Mario 2, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, a poster of a painting by Rene Magritte, and some other tidbits here and there.

As for what I'm giving. . . so far, check this out: Getting some of these for all the girls I know.
Got Little Nemo for my friend.
And that's it so far.  I can't find nuffin else, really.

How am I supposed to know what I'm getting for Christmas?  It wouldn't be a surprise then would it?

Since my birthday's in December I make one list for my birthday and Christmas.  Metroid Prime 2 was the only game I really put on the list and I already got it for my birthday.  So I'm likely to get some CDs I've asked for and it's pretty much a given I'll get the Return of the King Extended DVD (since everyone in my family wants me to get it).  MP2 and LotR are really the only must have items on my list this year so it looks like I might finally have a year where I don't go and buy all the stuff I really wanted but didn't get.

Oh and for the last few years I've received something I have no interest in whatsoever and it's always the most expensive gift I get so I'm sure there will be some expresso machine or screw driver set or whatever under the tree.

lol who hides someone's present in that person's own closet??

For me I gotta have MP2 and Donkey Konga. Yea a new cube too. And the live CD of the Who concert I went to this last summer. I also make a tradition of asking for SNES games as well, but this year I can only think of Super Metroid

Everything else is secondary: guitar picks and tuner and case, Star Wars DVD, and gift certificates which should hold me over till my birthday in March.

I've noticed it gets harder each year to concentrate on shopping for stuff until after finals are over

Mine would have to be a 512 stick of memory for my computer and maybe a DS, but since I'm paying for my own apartment, all I've asked for is money for that.  No one's getting anything from me because I'm flying home, so bah humbug.  Christmas blows (not in the religous sense, but in the commercial sense).

No DS for two reasons:  (1)  We can't find them ANYWHERE, and (2)  If we find a place with DS's in stock, my brothers will get one, which I'll use, therefore opening my list up to new possibilities =o

Unfortunatley, there's not too much else I want....Paper Mario 2, Burnout 2 (blol 20 buxwhynot), and the Pure Evil pack ....That's it for videogames, and I've already been pretty much denied Pure Evil.....I might ask for Metroid Prime 2, but I haven't beaten the first yet, and I might ask for Ikaruga, but I don't know if I'll like it or not.....

Resident Evil 4 comes out around a week before my birthday, so I have that on my list, but if I can't get the Pure Evil pack I doubt I'll get this......of course, I'll be getting a DS for my birthday too along with Mario 64 DS and Rayman DS if no one gets them for christmas.

Oh yeah, headphones and some underwear too.

I saw them live in New Orleans.
But I don't like them, so it wasn't a big deal for me.  Seein' the Pixies is why I went, and that was awesome.

Hey, I killed a joke but I added innuendo.

The Idiot, by Fyodor Dostoevsky and The Great Wall of China and other stories by Franz Kafka. I need to get a hold of The Plauge by Camus as well, but I can't find it anwhere. I haunt the bookstores in my city so much that I'll be able to tell when the books have been bought. It takes the suprise out of Christmas, I suppose, but my folks specifically asked for what I wanted.

I asked for some games as well, but none of the big holiday sellers seem to be available here.

I'm getting an iPod; a bunch of CD's (U2, the killers, others i can't remember); when I asked for Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, my mom said "Didn't I get you that last year?", so I told her nevermind, since she gets easily confused; I also asked for Katamari Damacy, but I doubt my parents will be able to find that.

And then whatever my siblings get me.  I should be getting something cool from my brother, since he makes more money than my dad now.  That must be so disheartening for my dad, I can't imagine.  Oh well...

I bought myself Baten Kaitos eariler this month, and it's still keeping me busy.  That's an awesome game with some great plot twists, and some fulfilling side quests.  You don't hear that too often.
