Topic: M hunt multiplayer Vs. mp echoes multiplayer

For those of you who have played both the metroid prime echoes multiplayer, and the m hunt demo.  Give your impressions of both.  Im curious to know what makes the echoes multiplayer so bad, and if its anything like what we'll be getting from metroid on the DS.  Please dont turn this into a poll.  I just want impressions.  This is more directed at the PGC staff since I know they played them both extensively.

Its not bad.  People expect it to be the same as everything else. and its not.  Its actually quite fun in its own right.

I actually enjoy the Echoes multiplayer a lot.  I hate to say it, though, but (obviously) it's no match for even the first Halo, or even TimeSplitters 2.

EDIT: Hopefully we can expect better things from Geist multiplayer.  Personally, I think First Hunt is better than Echoes, but maybe that's just because I don't have another DS FPS to compare First Hunt to.

Well from the impressions Ive read its more of an after thought.  I think better effort could have gone into it.  Then again I have not played it yet,  so I'll withhold my judgement until I do.  On the other hand M hunts multiplayer component is splendid.  I cant wait for the full version.

It seems pretty polished to me already, but remember, we won't see the full version of the game till Q2 of next year (I think that's what the schedule says).

Prime Hunters has 3 Weapons... You have alot more in Echoes... including the cool enhancements like the Hack Mode and the Death Ball...

Prime Hunters is ok... but It needs more beams... even though the Energy Loob or whats its called is pretty nifty

I would say that they both have ups and downs.
Mertroid prime 2 has more weapons but hunters has online multiplayer so its kinda a toss up

You also have to realize that the M hunters game is just a demo.  You can expect more weapons and more cool features in the final build.

I am sure there was little emphasis by Retro studios to make Metroid Prime 2's multiplayer compete with the likes of Halo 2, but I am sure they are emphasizing every effort to make Metroid Hunters compete with any other handheld FPS announced or being developed yet.
