is anyone feeling this game??? the graphics kind of look disappointing, but besides that, do you think it will be fun??

I actually just finished playing Paper Mario for the 64 less than a week ago, so I'm definitely looking forward to it.  The game looks incredibly cool, and I even think the graphics are looking very nice.

I like the nostalgic look of the Paper Mario series much more than the look of the 3d series.

Delicious 2D Mario art the way it was meant to look since the days of Super Mario Bros.  What's not to love?

Well, okay, the game could turn out to be crap, but anyone who has played the first Paper Mario knows better.  I'm buying this game the day it comes out!

Im getting this, the demo I played at FYe was excellent.  Is it me or do I think GTA went stale after VC  and whats new in San Andres riding a bike, swimming and the food system.  I had fun with VC but I dont think I wouldnt want SA since the only thing Rockstar is doing is 3-D-ing all the 2D cities from GTA1(which identically where Liberty City, Vice City and San Andres) good innovation there Rockstar.   If Rockstar continues this trend we will see GTA4:London and <sarcasm>OMG watch out The Getaway.</sarcasm>

Maybe in Halo 2 theres a secret alien food system since you know master cheif needs some alien BBQ to get fat and then he will need to go on the alien Atkins diet.  And we all know how super realism beats whimpy paper folding mechanics. Western developers fail at inovation

Um if u have seen Halo 2 u know the game looks pretty sweet with lots of new weapons, maps and vehicles, plus (drum roll please) online play. GTA:SA also has a robbery system where u can rob houses, some are easy some arent. And yes there's some realism with the "get fat"  system and also you can customize ur character. So new ideas are implemented on both games.(Yes I know custom stuff have being around forever.)

Umm if you wanted online FPS-ing wouldnt you have a PC anyway so its not new, well the "house robbery system is probably the same how you rob store clerks in GTAVC. And Im still more interested in Metroid Prime 2 than Halo 2 and anyways I dont have an Xbox and I dont plan to buy one anyways since I know I will have fun on my DS more when I buy one heh. Halo 2 looks good but it will be like Doom 3 was it looks nice but it will play the same old way(except you cant use gernades while dual weilding) and Halo didnt keep me THAT excited while I was playing I kinda found it boring especially The Library level and the flood sequences.  Also GTA VC was good but I think I had enough of GTA for now.

Anyways,  I think I will have more fun with VJ2, Paper Mario, Baten Kaitos and  Prime 2,MGS 3,Mario Tennis(wow I need to get a job) and FF1&2 than I will with GTA:SA and/or Halo 2.

GTA:VC is the second most overrated game of this generation behind ICO.  GTA:SA looks to be leaps and bounds above VC.  {back to the topic !_!}  My neighbor is a big import gamer and has PM2.  I've played a couple hours of it and I can say that it is brilliant.  I have no idea what's going on story wise but the gameplay is brilliant, the platforming is the best platforming action cube has had in a while, and the RPG is also the best RPG action the cube has had. . . . ever.  Atleast since ToS.

There's an extensive review over at gamestop.com and all i got to say is wow. A 9.3 from those guys its great since Ive read their reviews and most of them rate games in craptacular fashion. So iam really happy that this site is giving the credit this game deservs, i guess ill have to work on weekends to see if i can buy it when its realeased...sigh.. or i could just buy it and not gta:sa ..althought thats not likely to happend.... i guess ill buy it in december...oh well...

better than game informer.  Those guys gave the game a 6.75 because it was for teh kidz.  If they gave the game a bad rating because it was a bad game that'd be one thing, but giving a great game a bad rating because its kiddy is immoral.

This is Game Informers excuse for the low Paper Mario 2 score
Quote

Lisa and I both knew that our Paper Mario scores were going to cause controversy. Yes, we know that many people out there will love it. We also know that it is a well-made game. However, it also WILL NOT appeal to many people - I would safely say that more people will dislike it than like it. Why? Like we said in the review, it's a very kiddie game - it's target audience is clearly young gamers - I would say 10 and under. For that reason, we had to score it low. Remember, we aren't scoring games strictly on our personal opinions, we're also scoring them based on how much we think THE GAMING PUBLIC will like them. We've all played games that we personally disliked and scored them well because we've known that most people will like them, and we've also scored games low that we love, because most people won't enjoy them.

FOr example, I really like the bizarre frog golf game Ribbit King, and I gave it a 7, because it's just not for everyone. Paper Mario 2 also scored low because it's just not for everyone. If you think it's a 10 in your book, it's a ten in your book, and that doesn't change if we disagree. We're here to guide you on what games to pick up, but ultimately your personal opinion is what will make you buy a game or not.

What a joke.
