Topic: GameCube Rezarected?

Not sure if I spelt rezarected right..? Probley not as I am the usal Uk thicko but hey I love gaming so people accept me
Anyway on with my debate and hopefully people can give a insight.

I bought a cube many many long long time ago (hmmmm), a USA one infact as I love importing USa games I have a great collection and nice RGB modifed lead that makes me go bump in the night.

Now honestly few months ago I felt the Cube was dieing and I was getting upset as I feel cube needs to live one... its not more dam power and graphics I want its just better ideas and games so I was praying cube still lives on.
Next game hardly any sales for some games and companys pulling out and also the online features going down the drain.........

I not even used my cube recently as no games excite me, my main reason loving my cube was nintendo bring the best multiplayer games out and thats what I love consoles for beer, munch and 3 mates to have a all nighter with on it (dam we need a button smashing games.. ATHENS 2004 PLZ! or something i can wear a sock on my finger and smash my buttons for a win).

Now I do love my cube but things seemed to be getting bad for it but recently checking the news other the past months it seems that game after game is being announced and some getting delayed to 2005 which may not be too bad as it shows the CUBE will and should live on by then. I even noticed companys come back to start developing and publishing for the cube which is better.
We got Pikmin 2 on the way, RE4 still in the gaming, Mario paper 2, Metroid Prime 2.... maybe a new mario game people slang around....... Mario Tennis! Even a new Mortal Kombat game is now being made for the cube! Whats next Metal Gear Solid 3 getting a CUBE PORT! MGS1 rang like a buet lets see 3

With all this stuff happinging it keeps me in ponder will Nintendo put more money and work back into the number 1 feature I used to get excited for and cry for......."OFFICAL ONLINE PLAY!". Yep I can go get a broadband adapotor and do what most others do but it lags and I hear from alot its not got that feeling of legit fun.
From when CUBE first got released I remeber reading in the magazines how the internet will take games to the extreme like Xbox Live and so forth but that all died down.
With Cube maybe making a awesome hit back could we see Nintendo get some offical Online service going with good plays like Xbox Live have. I dreamed to grab my cube put a headset on beep my mate up the road "Fancy racing a few  of them usa players who are ranked 10th...." and whacking in the CD logging on and entering in and talking trash Mario Style or logging on in the future to play MARIO PARTY ONLINE and playing people across the world while talking trash to them. Heck love to see a Mario ONLINE too.. Nintendo have the best games if they had online features image Mario Tennis online or co-op mod in metroid Prime2 or heck lets take the dream even futher! your mate rings and you always say to your self "crap.. wanted be alone and play this game now his gonna wanna take turns...., but just think you log on and log in! your friend takes a pad and you both go split screen online..... jeepers creepers.

Anyway my questions is... is this all a dream or could Nintendo start putting plans togeather and a buck to maybe PUSH THINGS FORWARD?

I love to see it so would all I mates.. it make me stay in endless nights again to say the least, I had a XBOX and did xbox live and the thrill of online console and talking to USA people with next to nothing LAG was the best thing since sliced bread but thne I went traded my xbox for the cube..... i wet my pants to see anything like that on the CUBE.

My theory: Nintendo will likely pass on online gaming this generation, especially now that they have figures showing rather flat online growth.  What they may do though is try to take the wireless multiplayer concept from the DS and expand it to consoles.  Whether that means a GC adapter or waiting for the Revolution, I don't know, but I'm almost positive Nintendo wants to take online play to the consumers that can't afford their own online connection.

And yes by this time its basically ascertined that Nintendo will pass up on this generation for internet. But with the DS coming out of the box internet ready and it suppose to be a preview of some type of what the Revolution will be.

Problem is DS is hand held... I love full fledged consoles to be honest, Thanks for replies though good to see others views.

I doubt that it will get that bad. The release list is full with more than enough games to keep that from happening. (And Nintendo on a whole has never realeased a massive amount of games within a month for any one console.)

It is impossible for Nintendo in general (I know that the topic is Gamecube but still) to die.  The company won't die just because of the Mario, Metroid, Zelda, and other exclusive games that everyone loves.  Nintendo is immortal.

Anyways, Gamecube has a ton of online games. like... Phantasy Star Online I and II and also... Phatasy Star Online III... yeah...
