Fun with the Master Sword...
« on: June 09, 2004, 05:15:48 PM »
Just got back from my trip to the great outdoors of Wyoming, and I've got some cool pictures of the landscape. I'm still working on the video clip (I'm editing some CG into a scene of myself waving the sword around), but enjoy the scenic woods of the Powder River area of Wyoming, complete with Master Sword-wielding maniac: Yours Truly!

I'll post a link to the video clip as soon as I'm done with it. It'll be cool, I promise.

Ahahahaha!  Not only do you have the same pose in every pic, you wield the Master Sword as if you were Captain N or something... ^_^

*has the urge to photoshop the pic so you have that pose with the Master Sword in a strip club*

Yeah, well I was looking for a good angle with that pose to send into Nintendo themselves. I don't think any of the pictures really look good enough to use for a magazine ad or anything, unfortunately.

Not necessarily if they continue the "who are you?" campaign (US).  I think 4 is perfect for a "Who are you?" ad.

I put the text in "Wyoming1.jpg," but I don't think it includes enough of the gorgeous landscape to be interesting. The video will be classic, though, I promise!

Try clearing your cookies and copying and pasting it again. People had trouble with it last time, too.

I can't help but laugh at each of those pictures. Especially after reading Bill's post.

I'm using it. I just can't swing it around with wild abandon (due to the size of my apartment) like I can in Wyoming. There are a couple of techniques which don't intercept any of my furnature, but I still have to be careful, and the footwork is pretty limited as well.

Almost done with that video clip!

I wasn't saying that you weren't using it, I was saying that you were using it in a very spectacular way. Go CL!

(this was inspired by somebody's sig)

If violent computer games are supposed to cause violence then shouldn't....

-Pac Man players run round in darkened rooms listening to repetative music and munching pills?
-Pokemon players go around attempting to cram animals into tennis balls?
-Spiderman game players jumping into walls wearing lycra suits?
-Metroid players fear jellyfish and repeatedly try to curl into a ball at the sight of a pipe?
-Mario Kart players go around chucking bananas and turtles at other cars on the motorway?
-Dungeon Keeper players go around ordering short people to dig tunnels?
-Mario players go around smashing up bricks in hope of mushrooms?
-Zelda players have an inexplicable tendency to collect glass bottles?
-Worms players be terrified of water, circular grey manhole covers and sheep?
-Black and White players go around spanking their huge monkeys?

Therefore since I have played all of these games and games such as MGS I am a violent, clubbing, animal abusing, lycra-adorned, perspicupiscaphobiac, sphereaphiliac, maniac driver, imperiphiliac, funghiphiliac, amphoriphiliac, aquaphobiac, agribestiphobiac, ferroorbiphobiac, wanker.

Shows what journalists know!

Ah. Finally the video clip is done.

www.smitesoftware.com/downloads/Who.avi (11.4MB)
www.smitesoftware.com/downloads/Who2.avi (8.7MB)

Sorry it's so big. I don't know why the compression didn't work better.
Enjoy!

Awww you caught me, Jale! I admit it! I tried to stick my dog into a glass bottle I collected. Happy now?

The link doesn't work for me again.

I don't know about an ad, but I bet Nintendo Power would love a letter/photo from you.  You might want to include a photo of the sword itself also, though.
