Topic: Japanese Games on NorAm Gamecube

I'll be moving to Japan in September and the first game I want to pick up for my North American Gamecube is Viewtiful Joe. I'm hoping to use it with a Freeloader disk. Has anyone tried this? Does it run well?

I've heard there are problems running some Japan games on North American Gamecubes. How frequently are there problems? Do most games run well?

I think you would be better off buying a Japanese GameCube and modding it to play US games.  The mod isn't all that hard to do I am told, but doing it the other way around is a lot more complex.

The Freeloader has issues with some games, but it works fine with most.
