It's most definetely your GameCube disc drive acting up. It's probably defected. Go use your warranty or buy a new GameCube.

So you will regret it if the Cube does go online? That's a shame.

Nintendo Gaming / Cube ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!
« on: June 11, 2003, 04:15:33 AM »
Nintendo haven't even announced they will go online. For all we know, they may not even go online on GameCube and leave it to the next console.

I hope we see online by the time Mario Kart is released. I would have said F-Zero GX, but it seems too late...

GameCube isn't really online...

I mean there's only one game playable online and that's Phantasy Star Online ver 1&2. And you gotta pay a fee just for that one game.

If it isn't sold as a discount price, I won't be buying it...

Let's hope they make the price similar to that of Pokemon Box.

Nintendo Gaming / I'm interested in an RPG.....
« on: June 09, 2003, 05:26:04 AM »
I have yet to play a proper RPG on GameCube, but from what I've heart PSO is only really worth it if you will play online. Don't know if about the multiplayer...someone else will have to answer that.

I would go for Skies of Arcadia, it's called one of the best RPG's ever made by many, along with FFVII.

Nintendo Gaming / what is harvest moon?
« on: June 09, 2003, 05:20:22 AM »
Yep, it's like Animal Crossing except it's looking after your farm instead of your town/house.

You gotta grow and maintain crops along with farm animals, and make friends on the farm of course. In many of the games, you gotta get married...

It's gonna be good.

Anyone know how the multiplayer works?

I'm sure this should be allowed as long as it's on-topic (GameCube discussion)...

So what upcoming games are you looking forward to?

For me, it's F-Zero GX, Soul Calibur and Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life (coming August-September).

I don't know enough people who would be up for playing a SNES style game instead of a game like F-Zero GX or TimeSplitters 2...

I have three GBA's in my household, but that would mean I would have to purchase a couple of cables ( I already have one)...

I think they should bundle the game with not one, but two cables. Then it would be playable out of the box as long as you have a few GBA's.

I can't remember a game I have played that didn't have it's developer name come up on screen at the start.

I love the direction Nintendo are heading - their new attitude seems promising.

Nintendo Gaming / Animal Crossing Sites

The official Animal Crossing website is pretty good when it comes to hinting. They give you good information on what is going on in the Animal Crossing world in the current month and free codes for free items.
