Nintendo Gaming / Skies of Arcadia questions......
« on: June 27, 2003, 09:36:44 PM »
Hey i need some serious help in skies right now. I am trying to find the birdman and the golden wings or whatever so i can go to Rimis (sp) the lost city. I have spent days looking for the bird thing and the closest i found was a discovery of a bird, so i thought it pointed to the city so i flew around forever and never found it.Basically i am saying that i am tired of random battles and flying in circles so please tell me where this bird thing is that can take me to the lost city. Thank you.

First off i would like to say that i took everyones advice and bought Skies...I must say it is by far my favorite game on gamecube yet. I am totally into this game. I do have some questions about it though. First question is what does will and vigor do in you players stats? Next i would like some help on how to navigate through the south ocean to that island under it to get the blue (?) moon crystal? It seems like i just keep sailing in the south ocean and i am not going anywhere, so please help me out. Thanks.

Nintendo Gaming / I'm interested in an RPG.....

First off i would like to thank everyone for giving me all of the info they did. I will also they though that i am  a bit confused. Multiplayer is HUGE to me but i wouldn't ever think bout online....ever. Secondly, it sounds like Skies of Arcadia Legends is by far a better game (since i am anti-internet) but the multiplayer of PSO is quite intriguing (sp). And to answer a reply someone gave me about FF:CC... when i first heard about the game i was in heaven, it sounded like everything and more to me, then i heard the bit of info. about the gameboy advances and now i will probably never even care to look at n e thing related to the game ever again. I might be alone when i say this, but gameboy connectivity does not float my boat at all. We have one gameboy advance amongst my friends and we played zelda quite a bit with it and then decided it was stupid. On the other hand, linked up gamecubes is going to be God like amongst my friends. Yes, it is much more convenient for me to have to cubes and two t.v.'s and a cable then the internet and or a bunch of gameboy advances. Thanks for your help.

Nintendo Gaming / I'm interested in an RPG.....

I really want to buy an RPG for gamecube, but i don't know what i want. I am debating between Phantasy Star Online (although i wouldn't ever go online) and Skies of Arcadia Legends. I never played either of them for the Dreamcast, so they are both new games to me. My question is which one should i buy? To give an idea of my tastes......I love multiplayer, i have very competitive friends, i know PSO has multiplayer but is it good enough to actually enjoy with friends? Additionaly, the last ( and only) RPG i ever played was FF 7 for playstation. I loved the game. I don't want an action game (zelda) i want a true RPG where u level up and inflict hit points etc. Please give me info about the two RPG's i am debating on buying, and try to sell me one way or the other for the game you think is best. Thank you.

First off i would like to say that i am amazed i never see or hear anyone talk about the matrix on this forum. If there is an official thread and i just overlooked it then please direct it to me. On to further business though, i recently bought the matrix and love the game, except i think i might be disappointed with the hacking system. Me and a friend thought the hacking was an extremely deep, on going, never ending aspect of the game that would take us weeks to master. We spent a day having at it and then we got to  a point where we both kind of looked at each other and were like........is that all there is too it? we can enable all the cheats we know of, we have multiplayer, we have mini games, we can drop guns ( although we kinda suck at the drop guns so if someone would enlighten us please do) so if that is all the hacking can accomplish then i will say i am disappointed but if there is more to it . please tell me what all i need to do.
