Not yet.  I was thinking of doing it after one of my shifts tomorrow but the one Arizona Best Buy has a NS2 summer gaming event on the 21st of June. So I may just pick up a Switch 2 at that time.

The news is there is a 90 day pause on tariffs on all the listed countries except China. Which, was 75 countries. I'm not sure where all of Switch 2's are being manufactured currently, but I sort have expected companies to switch their supply chains after 2020 away from China. At least that is what many companies were doing. According to a google search Nintendo diversified and started making some of its supply chain in Vietnam and Cambodia. So, we might be out of the woods at least for 90 days. I expect Vietnam will woo the administration in the long term. They have been geostrategic US partners.

From my understanding they were moved from China to Vietnam and Cambodia from the last time he was in office.

I always prefer physical mainly because it is tangable and there needs to be a balance between digital and physical.  Not only because of choice but also becasue of the practices the game industry has done with Seasons Passes, DLC and loot boxes would be a boon for the higher ups in VG companies but not the developers or gamers. 

Most of my Switch Libraries although I have a few Digital games like Tears of the Kingdom.  Basically games where I could see playing on the bus or just loading up right away.  Physical games I would want so I can sit down and enjoy for long stretches of time.

Nintendo of Canada just announced that Canadian pre-orders are being delayed as well.  Not that I was going to get a Switch 2 at launch anyway but it sure sucks that our country, for which the tariffs do not apply, is also having its pre-order delayed.

So does the price go up for us too?  It's already $700 for the Mario Kart bundle!  I see pre-orders for games that are $100.  They go even higher and they might as well not release the damn thing in Canada.

I feel for Canada after all that Canada has done in the semi recent fires in LA is being punished by a man who has no clue what he is doing and is taking account emotions and how he was wrong to affect the US allies. 

In  the past gens were the prices of games lower or higher than US prices Ian?

I know all the talk is about the Price of the consoles and games but there are other factors.  Terrifs mainly and how they are non sensical and even affecting the USA, 

So what is something we as gamers can do to lower the price not only by talking to Nintendo online but also with Trump and with our local governments?

Oh and a sequel to Kirby Air Ride directed by Sakurai was not something I had on my bingo card.  Especially since he literally left HAL after the development of the first game, many speculated the troubled development of that game contributed.  I guess either the development of the original wasn't as bad as some thought or even if it was, Sakurai really wants to make a sequel to that game with the idea's he couldn't do at the time or new idea's he's thought up since.  Seriously, I doubt Nintendo or HAL would have approached him to make this game since the original wasn't exactly a massive hit, so Sakurai himself must have really wanted to do this, and after the massive success of Smash Ultimate, they'll give him a blank check for anything.  Similar to how they let him make Kid Icarus Uprising after Brawls success.

I think part of it is that Sakurai said he didn't want to do more Smash so I think him going back to Kirby makes sense and with the technological and gameplay advancements since the GameCube era there was going to be some new ideas.

Plus with Smash 2 being able to play compatable Switch games and the possibility of Switch 2 Edition games I think it is more likely that we get Ultimate playable on Switch 2 and/or a S2 Edition version.  To give Sakurai a chance to recover from the grind of the Smash series for maybe the following generation after Switch 2.

I love this new app.   I used to listen to OCRemix back in the day and even some every so often.  So I have been waiting for something like this.   One of the things I collect in Nintendo CDs like the Killer Cuts Killer Instinct, Smash Bros Orchestra and similar CDs. 

I would wish that one of the things they do with this app, after they finish up most of the main titles, is to go into these specialized compilations like I used to collect so they are available to everyone.

Excited for the Switch 2 and I am glad they went with that name.  I personally wasn't confused by the Wii U but some other folks might have been. So it is good to have a clear delineation between Switch and Switch 2.

Glad there is backwards compatibility. I wonder if the Family accounts will carry over to Switch 2?

Switched over to the regular theme.   I had no idea this was an issue without looking on Discord in the Mafia Dead Server.  If you haven't already done so Khushrenada post about it in the main NWR Discord.

I have. It's come up a couple times in there but it's not something that's exactly easy to sticky or easy to alert the people that would need to know this info. Part of the issue is there doesn't seem to be a way to get a list of the users that are still using it. Even if a list could be made, it's going to be hard to reach those actual users if they aren't on that Discord. Like BlackNMild2k1 is not on the Discord that I can see. I might just try the e-mail on his account to let him know what to do and hope that e-mail still works. If not, I'm not sure what else can be done for him and some other users that would be blocked because of it.

It's been a while since I've seen it myself, but once upon a time Personal Messages on this site generated email notifications. I just checked my email and I have a bunch of 8 year old emails from the site. Perhaps that can be a good way to notify the other users. I find the Discord a rather unpleasant place, myself, so if I was affected I wouldn't likely be using it.

Bumping this because I am in the process of becoming more independent and I have a girlfriend who would help with finding a house for both of us to live in.

We are also considering having two or three bedrooms to rent out for a resident to add some extra income.
What are feasible options for this in regards to make this a reality?


I am in Arizona in Mesa and my girlfriend is in California.  We are looking to stay on the west coast so California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada.  Arizona isn't an option because I want to leave Arizona and it is too hot for my girlfriend. She works are Target in a very bustling city and myself on a second seasonal stint at Amazon in Phoenix but prospects are looking good for a more permanent status.

So we want to move to so we can stabilize with those jobs in these cities; Seattle WA, Tacoma WA, Bellevue WA and Redmond WA.

In Oregon Portland and surrounding metro suburbs.   

In Las Vegas Nevada.

In California with three different searches on Zillow; LA, Long Beach, Irvine, Altadena, Pasadena for the first search.  Price range in the 159,00 to 570,000 on the first page

Second Search would be this, Real Estate & Homes for Sale 1(( lower price condos in Anaheim, Long Beach, Bellflower, Seal Beach, Los Angeles). On the first page the price range is 255,000 in Anaheim to 479,000 in Santa Ana

Last one is the most expensive. The lowest price is 2.2 Mil in Long Beach with the highest being 20.7 Mil on the 1st page

I am searching on Zillow in the above areas. I can send you the Zillow Searches if you need the links.

One thing I still like about forums over chat messaging is that there is a record of things where you can take note of what is being written.

Yes I know Discord and other chat options has an option of finding specific chats but with how fast paced Discord and other chat apps you have to do a lot of scrolling or have a very good memory to look for something 6 months ago where as with forums you can typically find it without much effort.  By that I mean the systems of Forums and discord are different so the mechanics change how things are done.
