Which was it? This is the spoiler thread so its all fair game.

Wesley Snipes.  With all the rumors of drama behind Blade 3, I figured there was no way in hell he'd play Blade again.  Or work with Ryan Reynolds again.

Even removing spam of late has been giving the connection error. 😭

I've been getting it a bit lately, including when initially trying to reply to your post here.

I've been wondering about that account for awhile.

There was one "cameo" that seriously shocked me to the point I looked at my friend and said "is that really...?", thinking they had got a look alike or AI or something.

I'm weirded out that I just deleted four pieces of SPAM and they went to the recycle bin and aren't showing in the recent posts feed.  :/

Anywhoo, again, I apologize and will pay closer attention next time. :(

32
Oh dude, I'm so sorry.  It looked like spam and I didn't see you posted it. :(

That's weird.  I generally look at https://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?action=recent to see the most recent posts and remove the spam ones.  I recall your post was in there twice (which added to thinking it was spam)... but, apparently, I deleted it from here and then the recycle bin - which is really odd, because the recycle bin doesn't show up in the most recent posts link. :(

So, I can't even restore it from the recycle bin.  :(

I basically think of it as an NES Remix 3.

Since they didn't go with that name, there's a sliver of hope we'll see other editions... but I'm with you - I doubt it.

I find it most funny that only one of the original three titles are even in this edition.

What were you expecting from something with "NES Edition" in the title?  Virtual Boy games?

35
Sure, there were some people who did.  Sorry if I made it sound absolute.

36
Thinking more about this, I don't think a lot of folks traded in their 3DS to buy Switches because they couldn't play 3DS titles on the Switch.

Likewise, folks didn't trade in their DS to buy 3DS systems, since they'd lose that GBA compatibility.

I wonder how many GCN-Compatible Wii were even still on the market to buy when the Wii U came out.  I'd say the 2m that sold were for Wii support alone.  Maybe collectors picking up Minis at the end of life?

37
With the 3DS, even with the online features shut down, I think Nintendo could re-release the 3DS in stores right now and folks would snap them up.  It's legitimately insane the prices they're going for now.  I do think one thing that helped the 3DS sale is knowing there were so many amazing DS/3DS titles that you *cannot* play on Switch.  If the New Super Switch 2 U is 100% b/c with Switch, unless there is a significant price difference, I could see a lot of folks just buying the newer system.

That said, I don't see a *lot* of used Switches for sale.  They exist (definitely on-line), but it seems to be a seller's market, for sure.  If there's not a significant amount of used systems at the end of the life cycle (which, I think, happened with the 3DS, as most owner's chose to hang on to theirs), that'd help boost sales of the original as well.

We'll see.  I definitely am not counting Nintendo out.

38
Yeah.  That's what Jim Ryan said.  Funny how Sony has never touted that figure in legal, financial disclosures. 🤣

Nintendo doesn't have a stellar track record of first party support once the new system launches,  But, yes, the Switch has some amazing third-party support.  That might be enough to carry it over the finish line, unless Nintendo does something stupid.

39
"160 million". 🤣

I ended up finding two on eBay for under $100 each.

If I was gonna go the Homebrew route, I could just use modded Wii systems, as they can emulate the adapter.

General Chat / Faceball 2000 Part 3: Faceball 2024 in Milwaukee
« on: March 12, 2024, 04:26:21 PM »
Hello NWR friends!

I've posted a bit about this before, and I don't want to go into the weeds with too many details now, as there's a lot to take in *and*.... Stop Skeletons From Fighting is doing a Youtube Documentary on this entire project!  It will be amazing!

Anywhoo, why I'm posting now... it's officially official.

The first weekend in April, myself and some of the gang will be in Milwaukee for the Midwest Gaming Classic expo and we will have an exhibit set up for 16 player Faceball 2000 DX on 16 TVs via GameCubes and 16 Game Boy Players.

What is Faceball 2000 DX?  Well... long story short - the original Faceball 2000 doesn't support 16 players after-all.  It only supports 15 players!  What a rip-off, after all these years, eh?  Long story short, there's a bug in the code that prevents a 16-player game from loading.  Someone in my crew figured this out and patched it.  And then, added in a color patch that's been floating around that also takes advantage of the Game Boy Color's faster processor to speed up gameplay (but also, the original,  4-shades-of-gray version is patched as well, so that can be played too!).

It's amazing and fun and just insanity and if anyone wants to swing by and say hi, please do! :)

I am surprised they're that much, really.  I can't imagine there's many people using them for their intended purpose and the unintended purpose of hacking is much easier through other methods.  Of course, it's Nintendo and it's a semi-rare piece of equipment... but still. I'm just salty. 🤣

May I bump this thread to express my annoyance with the fact that Broadband Adapters got stupid expensive before I got my set of eight. :(

I just need two more. :(

>originally the game was assigned an 18+ rating, but following discussions with the authority (not named but presumably PEGI) were able to confirm a 3+ rating.

That's backwards.  The game was 3+ and was changed to 18+ due to simulated gambling.  Which is ridiculous.  Meanwhile, gacha games with actual gambling in them are a-okay.

48
Actually... I take back my answer.

Thanos was wearing the Gauntlet with the stones.  Everyone who was dusted took everything they were wearing with them.  Clothes.  Fury's eye patch.  Bucky's arm.  It all went.

...if Thanos had been blipped, would the stones had gone with him?

49
That's easy.  Thanos turns to dust with the rest of the other half, someone walks over, picks up the gems and resets everything minus Thanos.
