ahahahaha. yes. The excess fat drips directly onto your xbox gaming sytem.

I wanted to say one thing about Revolution's appearance. My sandwich maker, and N-revolution's mockup, come kind of close to my ideal Rev system, but neither are quite there.
I want this thing to look like a minature flying saucer. Preferably silver, with a rounded top that has the Revolution's logo printed directly onto its surface. And I want it to light up - with blue or red light on its underbelly. That is my dream.

Shoot, I was gonna say that about the roomba BigJim, but you beat me to the punch, oh well.  As for those mock-ups they do look kinda cool, but I dont like the controller and Ninty really needs to come up with something really unique, not so much that it is rediculous, but unique.  There is an advantage to side loading systems, you can stack stuff on top of them to save space, the top loading system on the GC effectively makes it a few inches taller, and the shelf under my tv is crowded anyway.

TOO sleek. It looks like a sixties household appliance. Back off on the curves and make it a different color, though, and I could see it.

I like it. I especially like the plain, gold Nintendo logo. I doubt Nintendo would have the guts to do that, but, very cool.

Everyone needs to get off the idea of being only wireless controller capable, because the liklihood of that happening is very slim...

And even if wireless only was the final design it wouldn't even be that great.  Wireless requires batteries.  Do you want to have to deal with batteries all the time with no option to plug the damn thing in?  That would be incredibly restrictive.  But then looking at most controller ideas needless restrictions apparently are the in thing.

Wireless controllers with removable cords that can be plugged into the console.  That's the way to go.  You want it wireless?  No problem.  You don't want to deal with batteries or you need to recharge?  No problem there either.  Just plug it in.  Both options and no need to buy two different controllers.  They could even make it so that the controllers recharge when they're plugged in so you don't even need to buy batteries.

That's actually a VERY good idea, but is it technically possible?

Incorporate rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries on the controller, now that's the way to go if the controllers are to be wireless. But I doubt Nintendo will do that considering the fact that the controller won't be as big as the Cube's controllers and you have to add in the factor that they will incorporate some gyroscope technology of some kind, plus the rumble feature, geez will everything fit in "one piece"?! I wonder how Nintendo made it so that the rumble won't interfere with the gyroscope, anyone have an opinion on that?

Edit: Btw I like the design of the revolution console shown on 1st post but I think a handle is needed just like the Cube has one.

Why wouldn't it be?  You could technically just have a controller that communiocates with the system wirelessly all the time, but have a specialized plug that snaps into the controller (from the system or into a base station you have plugged in somewhere closer to the couch) so that it can recharge while you use it, similar to using your cell phone.

I think it would work best if you have the option to use either/or, but whatever works is fine.

I think it is very possible bill.

How about using something that can charge a battery in the controller while it is plugged in?  So you have a wireless controller that when the juice goes out can plugin and play, until the battery is charged.

Then you wouldn't have to worry about batteries.

"Wireless controllers that recharge when you plug them, brilliant". The best idea I've heard since I came back to the internet.  This means that there is no way for this to come true, it makes too much sense.

I like N Revolution's mockups aesthetically. Functionally......you might as well put gyros in a gamecube controller rather than go with that thing. Also, I like the slot-loading drive.....but I doubt one would work for differently-shaped media.

also, i believe it was nemo who posted this link:

I posted it originally. It's actually a sandwich maker that I taped a printed-out Revolution logo to. Glad you like it.

You know, I would like a combination console/sandwitch maker.

how about if the battery for the wireless controllers also acted as memory cards, you could plug the battery/memorycard into the rev and it would charge the battery and sync the memory with it'd internal storage or game data. inserting the battery/memorycard into your controller could allow it to be wireless. cut the cords alltogether. the only other thing i could think of is like stacking the controllers like those pager things they have at some steakhouses. so like if that earlier mockup controller (if you look it was very thin) were to be placed ontop of the rev. and another controller could charge when placed on top of the first. like this..

controller 'b'  [+{}::]
controller 'a'  [+{}::]
