So far I havn't had much trouple with people and Yoshi's Egg car. I like Bowser with the Standard Rob car and I can keep  up even with biggest of snakers.  And every now and then I use Luigi's or Yoshi's standard. Any way, do some of the light weight cars and drivers really have such a huge advantage over the others?

For a guy who has eighty something wins and twenty losses, I doubt its something that involves skill.

On a lighter note, of the folks at www.gscentral.org found a way to play tracks that were 'removed' from online play to be played online.

http://www.gscentral.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=764&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=25 (Look on second page)

Says that theres no real problems gameplay wise on your side, you'll see some weird things like other players' characters fall through the pipe in waluigi Stadium, but once they go through it, the game places their coordinates properly. Even battle levels can be played online, but the game still acts as if its in race mode, and things like falling off or firing a blue shell causes the game to freeze.

I lost my money for this, so it'll be a while

However, I should be online by Christmas-ish.  Dag-nab.

I hate to bring this old thread back up, but someone please answer this. My brother said that he got online to play Mario Kart a little while ago and it asked him to download a new version of something. Then he went on to say that if you disconnect from a race you will get a lose added to your score. Is any of this true? If so I would be very happy. I could just test it out for myself but i'd rather not.

No idea, I haven't heard anything about a new version, I can't find any information on it anywhere.

Anyway, one of the best new features in this game I think is the way you can see the route your ghost is taking in Time Trial, it makes it much easier to improve on your previous time, and i've been having lots of fun getting better times. Is anyone willing to challenge my Time Trial times?

Man, Mario. Those are some great records. Did you snake? Also, did you use one specific cart or a bunch?

I don't snake in multiplayer but I snaked a bit to get those. I beat all the staff ghosts before getting those times without snaking though. I use Luigis Poltergeist half the time, and a kart with a full item stat the other half, so I get three mushrooms for some tracks with big shortcuts.

What ever happened to the PGC Mario Kart outings?  Did those end when everyone got too busy playing Animal Crossing?  Any chance we could bring those back?  I never got a chance to play against anyone here because I was always busy on the few nights an official PGC MK Match-up occured.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!
