Well, it gets easier if you only track the series on one or two systems. The GBA has 2 (counting More Friends), the GCN has 3 (counting Another Wonderful), the DS has 1 out, and the Wii has none (well, one if you count the Magical Melody port)!

uhh... Okay. Point taken considering the PS2 and PSP titles.

It is depressing, though I think 16 players is okay for a console FPS (nevermind the bigger player counts that games like Resistance manage).

Hopefully The Conduit turns out alright as the first trailer was a bit underwhelming (but only just a bit). I eager to see more of the game in the coming months.

Hmm.
Now, will those 10 hundred points get you a full eight boss + endgame game or is it going to be cut short?

King of the Fighters... I wouldn't mind seeing a game like that.

As for SPOGS, I'm eager to check that out since I like racing games.

As for the Wii version, their goal is to surpass Medal of Honor: Heroes 2. Good luck to that ( ' __ ')b

Beat the game where they took out the online capabilities for the PAL release? Yeah, they're gonna have to try really hard to not beat that.

Ooo, ouch. That must've sucked.
Though, thinking about multiplayer for this game, I wonder how robust the friendcodeless match ups will be (assuming friendcodes will be used). MoH:H2 used EA's proprietary online match up system iirc so 20+ player matches can be made quickly.

I know that they are going for a kid-friendly look, but I think this is way too much. The character art of the prince looks like something out of Maple Story.

It only allows girls to perform today's popular music and become a virtual star? Damn, it! What if I put on a sexy skirt and some mascara?

Well, if you can do drag, more power to you.

I can and will, thank you. I don't think I need to have an excuse as lame as Boogie though. Maybe I just like to feel pretty on occasion? ;)

Speaking of TF2, an update setted the Medic unlocks to only need the same number as the Pyro unlocks. So now you can get the new Medic weapons faster too!

There was Berklee that compiled Twin Snakes, Sons of Libery, and Snake Eater. That site is gone though. Ought to be someone else stepping up and capturing all the footage.

Also, what bad is everyone saying? Other than it being long, convulted, confusing, and/or redundant.

Well, this is expected. While this is great to hear that a new one is on the way to break our mouse buttons and fingers, I'd have to be honest and say that I was hoping for something more new.

Still, the graphics look nice and I won't mind some new dungeon crawling.

This just reminds me that US shores will probably never see Idolm@ster. Maybe that's for the better.
Hmm... I wonder if an Idolm@ster Wii would sell.

Criterion was going for a Burnout game where you're free to burn everywhere! Smash here, crash there, and race everywhere. You have the freedom to burn whereever you want in this Burnout playground.

... and that freedom might be working against it. Circuit racing give you clear goals and directions (and a few turns to remember). Now Paradise always has point-to-point races and you have a vague direction to head to. Either you memorize the path you want to take or read the map all the time. Doesn't sound quite fun for some.

Oh man. The Call of Duty 4 engine used to do a proper Starship Troopers (something based on the CG cartoon or, even better, the book). I would love that.

The linked discussion is somehow not political to some degree? o_O

I think it isn't. It's mostly about ethics and morals concerning the portrayal of WWII games.
Your army recruitment post is a bit of a slam against the political tool that is the military. Eep! Shouldn't be talking more about it.

The army recruitment post was not a "slam" against anything, per say. Even if it were, it would have been directed at the delusional masses that think war is something that it is not because they've played a few videogames and read the junk mail sent out to them by the government. In discussing anything related to war, the discussion will be political in nature. War is, in and of itself, a strictly political beast--until we get back to talking about clans of cavemen fighting over a fallen mammoth carcass to eat and survive, that is. In discussing the dilemma of appeasing veterans by not trivializing their efforts while appealing to the masses with an entertainment product, you are essentially speaking more of politics than you are morals or ethics. Me thinks that this "no political discussion" rule, while just enough, is vaguely implemented and narrowly enforced. ;)

Actually, I think even with the caveman example there are some politics involved. There has to be some sort of government if they formed clans! :p

Civil War might work really well under the right developer, (have to compensate for slow muskets and impatient gamers)

Mustache mini-games?

With bayonets. Don't forget the bayonets.
I just recalled the existence of a game called Gods and Generals based on the movie of the same name. HUURRRGGGH

I'm also sick of the gritty dingy stylized off-realism in annual HD war gaming (ie. 300).  Whatever happened to good ol' cold photo-realism?

Now you Battlefield: Bad Company. Something that is pretty much Three Kings in eastern Europe with some postprocessed film grain effect.

Ah, should've figured. That makes sense since no Jedi or Sith would be without their lightsaber, even if they primarily use the force.

Whether using this subject matter for escapist fantasy is unethical is a separate issue that Jonny has already brought up last year.
Ah, something for me to hunt down.

Current WWII Shooters Are Unethical
