Amiibo Guide

Mario Party 10

Amiibo figures are ready to party!

Mario Party 10 will take advantage of Amiibo in multiple ways. For starters, there will be a new mode in the game that requires Amiibo called Amiibo Party. In Amiibo Party the players will scan their Amiibo into the game to use that character as a game piece. It will also be possible to save one token to your Amiibo to use while playing in the Amiibo Party mode. Just keep in mind that saving data to an Amiibo in Mario Party 10 will erase data saved to it by other games like Super Smash Bros.

Amiibo Party mode will work with the Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Bowser, Rosalina, Donkey Kong, and Wario Amiibo. All other Amiibo will be compatible in Mario Party 10, but in some lesser, currently unknown way.

Truthfully the more I read about these figures coming out the less impressed I am with them. Maybe they'll be better than I'm thinking, but till it's proved other wise I just can't seemed to get excited for them all that much. At first I thought they'd work like the Skylander ones do but it looks like that's a no. I'll get one a see how it works, (but I'm not so sure how this is gonna work out for the time being).

Mario Party 10... When I was a kid I used to love the Mario Party series. I loved them so much that even though I had no one to play with, I would just play by myself for hours and hours and hours. I hope these figures let you do something interesting playing single-payer. I don't even have one friend who wants to play MP, now I have to find 4? Please, Nintendo. Not all of your fans have a billion people that want to play couch multiplayer with your games.

1. I'm not interested at all in Codename: STEAM why are they making this and not Advance Wars
