Monster Hunter 4 and Kirby are a huge focus on the eShop this week.

We got some videos over the weekend for Monster Hunter 4 and Calcio Bit and even got some more information in video form about Kirby's Dream Collection for Wii. Let’s take a look at what hit the eShop:

3DS Downloadable Titles

Chōrichu! Tamagochi no Puchipuchi Osetchi de Violin Lesson – 200 yen
Pocket Soccer League Calcio Bit DEMO – FREE

Virtual Console

Ice Climber (Famicom) – 500 yen

Video Content

Following last week’s eShop update, there were two big events that provided the eShop in Japan with more content. Out of Capcom Summer Jam came a brand new trailer for Monster Hunter 4 streaming in 3D. The trailer highlighted several different monsters as well as some new gameplay elements, such as the ability to climb monsters. Be sure to check out the new trailer for the game here.

Last Friday was a special event called Calcio Bit Direct, which, you guessed it, focused entirely on the upcoming soccer management simulator coming out for the Nintendo 3DS. Over an hour of 2D streaming video content was added as was a four minute 3D video.

There are a few different videos related to Kirby’s Dream Collection on the eShop as well. A collection of two thirty-second commercials and an in depth look at the content in the collection in a preview, give a great peek at the menus, games, and more. There is also a video of the recording of a special track for the included soundtrack. The track, which was orchestrated, is made up of various themes found in the series and sounds excellent. In total, the soundtrack itself boasts 45 tracks.

Rounding out the video segment this week, is a preview for Rune Factory 4 which shows off some gameplay videos and the games overall aesthetic.

Software Impressions

This week, I really didn’t have a lot of time to sit down and play any of the content from the eShop, unfortunately. I was pretty busy playing the latest Bravely Default Demo that hit last week (you can read my impressions here) and working on a set of impressions for Guild 01 (which you can read here). In the meantime, feel free to check out some of the videos below that were on the eShop for the upcoming Kirby’s Dream Collection for the Wii. There’s some pretty cool stuff there, so please enjoy!
