All the buzz on the year that was. It’s our 2004 Louie Awards.

Expecting to see a sequel to 2003’s Wind Waker, fans and experts alike were stunned to see that the cel-shaded, stylized setting had not returned, and that in its place was a breathtaking, realistic world in the same tone as 1998’s Ocarina of Time. With visuals unmatched and an accompanying score that could only be defined as epic, we were floored that Nintendo had managed to keep the trailer a secret up until then. There was no way of beating the Legend of Zelda E3 trailer for Biggest Surprise this year.
