On March 7, 1999, Planet GameCube was born as N2000HQ. It was one of the first websites devoted exclusively to the next generation Nintendo console, and it is the oldest one still surviving. To give you an idea of how far ahead Billy was thinking, this was two months before anyone ever heard the words "Project Dolphin". Over the years we've expanded to cover both GameCube and Game Boy Advance, and we'll continue to serve as an all-purpose Nintendo site with the upcoming release of Nintendo DS and the first information on the GameCube's successor.

On the Internet, five years is a long time, especially considering the trials and tribulations this site has been through. We think PGC was and is a very unique and special institution, so we're celebrating our birthday with another big contest. (Go here to see what we gave away for our fourth birthday.) Last year, we honored the people with the most fanaticism for Nintendo, as well as writing and/or film directing abilities. This year, we're giving a chance to you artists out there.

Your mission: make a commercial for Planet GameCube. Help us show the world why PGC has been one of the premiere Nintendo websites for the past five years. All entries should mention our birthday, but the rest is up to you. Feel free to focus on your favorite features of the website, from our legendary Planet Trivia game to our extensive import reviews to our yearly E3 impressions onslaught. The winning entry will be the one that best shows off PGC's heritage and content. Your commercial doesn't have to be the slickest or prettiest, but artistic merit helps, so show us your best! (Note: you may use animation, live-action footage, or a combination of the two.) The winners will be used to promote the website in the period leading up to E3.
