Join us for another night of multiplayer fun!

It's NWR Community Night time again, this Tuesday, August 21, at 10 p.m. Eastern/7 Pacific (2 a.m. UTC if anyone abroad is still up and wants to join in). Like we've been doing lately, it's up to the players to decide what to play, so join us in the chat and recruit players for your favorite Nintendo online game!

Do you like this new approach for Community Nights? Would you rather they be on a different day of the week? Please leave feedback in the TalkBack.

We will be coordinating the event in our chat room. Having trouble? You can also connect with a dedicated IRC client. Server: irc.browsingtheinternet.com Channel: #nwr

Talkback

Sorry for not getting this up sooner, everyone. Hopefully people are getting the message and know to expect these every week, but if not I apologize and understand if it's too short notice to make it this week.

I want to play Heroes of Ruin.

Who's in?

*raises hand*

I may be up for Heroes of Ruin if I can put some more time into it before tomorrow night. I'm only like level 3 right now.

Tybo68August 21, 2012

I'd be up for some Heroes of Ruin

I'm thinking about playing something on the Wii, i.e. GoldenEye or The Last Story, if anyone's down for that. It's been a (long) while since I did anything online-related on Wii.

(don't have my copy of Mario Kart Wii ATM)

Goldeneye, very tempting.
I forget, do we have to exchange Wii codes or can you just link up through the game itself, codes be damned?

vinniebrockAugust 21, 2012

^^ i think there's in-game FCs that you need to exchange. Could be wrong, but i'll check to make sure.

Edit: yup. Multiplayer > Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection > Party Invite > Add Friend.

So if anyone wants to play some GoldenEye, follow said instructions. my GoldenEye FC:

(Also open to other Wii suggestions)

Adding you. PM me or tell me in the chat when you're ready to go. Last call (not really) for GoldenEye (Wii) people!

I like that we pick what to play, but I (personally) would like to see Community Night be on Saturday... Basically just because most people are home on the weekend, and it might be easier to set stuff up that way. Plus it'd be more relaxed, for me anyway. Because it's on monday / tuesday (now), it's hard for me to make any time due to work and/or school.

I feel like people tend to have other plans on Saturdays, and won't want to come on for this at that time. How would Sunday afternoon work for you? It's less likely to have scheduling conflicts and the afternoon time would allow people in other regions to join in.

Football will own my Sundays starting in about two weeks. :/

Sorry I missed this. I got roped into about an hour and a half of podcasting last night...

Thoroghly enjoyable event, gents.

I think I can officially define my role in Community Nights as the player that allows you to boost your stats (due to my constant losing.) Despite my ineptitude, Nintendo online multiplayer gaming during these Community Nights continues to be a blast.
