It's time to power up! The new Staff Sez has arrived!

What's happened this week? Now let's see... Bravely Default has been released, Nintendo's earnings have been released and now this Staff Sez has been released! What an eventful week!

This time I asked the site "What Nintendo Game would make the best or worst anime?" Check out their responses below! What do you think? Let us know what game you think would make the best or worst anime?

Neal "Hiten-Mitsurugi Style" Ronaghan

Star Fox

Justin "Rasengan" Berube

Best - Punch-Out!!

Worst - F-Zero…. Oh wait.

Carmine "Bankai" Red

Family Detective Club… Because I've been wondering who Ayumi Tachibana was ever since seeing her Trophy in Smash Bros. Melee.

Alex "Fist of the Nose Hair" Culafi

Best - Kid Icarus

Worst - Donkey Kong Jr. Math

J.P. "Kamehameha" Corbran

I'd like to see Metroid done up this way, mostly just to take in the reactions of fans of the series.

Andrew "Gomu-Gomu-no" Brown

Best - Metroid (Kid Icarus already has several, sort of.)

Worst - Mario Paint

James "Shining Finger" Dawson

Best - Metroid (Chicks in power armors work so well in anime, just look at Bubblegum Crisis.)

Worst - Style Savvy (I shouldn't have to explain this one.)

Tom "Spirit Detective" Malina

Best - Custom Robo - sounds exactly like the sort of idea animes love to run with.

Worst - Kuru Kuru Kururin - uh... I don't really know how this would work; maybe it would actually be the best idea.

James "Time to Duel" Jones

Best - Fire Emblem - it basically is already.

Worst - Kid Icarus - we already saw this. I wanted to strangle Pit.

Danny "Section 9" Bivens

Best - The Mysterious Murasame Castle (Nazo no Murasame Jō) - It's a game about aliens, samurai, ninjas. Boom. Perfect for anime.

Worst - Brain Age - though a show starring a floating Kawashima animated head could be awesome (?)

Kim "Equivalent Exchange" Keller

Best: Professor Layton - it has a movie already, but I love the twists and turns of the games so much, I'm totally down for a new weekly obsession

Worst: Cooking Mama - her demonic angry eyes and passive aggressive caption "Don't worry, Mama will fix it" make me believe she has some issues that are best left buried.

Michael "Bebop Cola" Cole

Best: - Smash Bros. Why not? The series' premise is action figures that fight each other via a kid's imagination. Seems like that could be extended a la Toy Story or Muppet Babies to imaginary misadventures of odd Nintendo character team-ups, Brave and the Bold style.... Or maybe we would just get Captain N out of it :/

Worst - Star Tropics. I love the series, but I wouldn't want to see its corny bananas-in-ears humor extended into a full TV show.

Please tell me that's real. I think Xenoblade would work as a decent anime.

Metroid: Other M would be the worst anime but the Metroid franchise in general could make the best.  For better or worse Metroid has a bit more story to it than other Nintendo franchises.  As much as a like Zelda any anime writer would have to make up a whole bunch of new stuff to make the story interesting enough to stand on its own outside of a videogame.

Maybe an adaption of Akira Himekawa's Zelda manga series would work - each game is told in short story format and only a few chapters long each, with just enough plot tweaking and character embellishment to make them familiar yet unexpected.

Best: Wonderful 101, since it's basically a playable shonen series.

Worst: Pokemon.
