Then send it my way and your request might be on the next episode of Radio Trivia: Podcast Edition!  Heck, throw in a question and specific songs if you want.  Just remember, it has to be a game found on a Nintendo system in North America (unless we say otherwise)!

From the moment I heard the first notes to the score that opens the podcast, it instantly brought such gusto to my ears. It's certainly one of the more memorable songs I've heard in any video game in a while - I have to admit, I would walk aimlessly through the mountain's peaks and troughs with the intent of letting my mind wander; sometimes, I'd even forget I was playing! Both the night/day portions of the score are just sublime.

MASBMay 29, 2013

You're welcome James!  ;)  (regarding the third game)

Weird.

The first song started playing and I was immediately thinking: "Ah, this must be Final Fantasy 6 - one of my favorite games ever."

Then I realized that only the second half of that statement was correct.

Pixelated PixiesMay 29, 2013

Wait, didn't Greg already use the Xenoblade card? I thought games could only appear once on Radio Trivia.

Although I'm certainly not complaining, it's one of my favourite game soundtracks of recent memory.

Pixelated PixiesMay 29, 2013

Only one correct answer for me this episode, which was game one. I have not played the other 4 games though, so I don't feel too bad about it.

geoMay 29, 2013

Great episode as always.  Once again, got the games that I beat, missed the ones I didn't beat/didn't play.

I really need to beat the first and last games!  They're on my Lindemann-style backlog.

I looked back and couldn't find it, maybe you're thinking of the episode where they did The Last Story

It's also possible it was used on one of the live shows (like the Child's Play marathon, or PAX East), games used for one of the live shows can still be used for regular Radio Trivia.

Yeah, I think it was a live show, the latest Child's Play show I believe.

Yup. Live Shows don't count as being on this podcast already.

2011. Greg wasn't on the last Child's Play marathon.

Yeah, well...my memory sucks.

Game 4 I surprisingly found to more fun when I went back to it after a few years. I don't know maybe because the style of the game was different from its predecessors.

yoshi1001May 30, 2013

You may also have gotten confused with an episode Greg was on where they played music from Parodius, a Japan + Europe-only game.

Thank you guys for another Radio Free Trivia.

I only got the first 2 games correct.

Is that Lindemann's little-known C64 SID music podcast?  ;)

*And that was Monty on the Run. A classic game that I played when I was a wee babe of 21. It was just the soothing balm I needed after failing in the OHL tryouts. Go Knights!*

Oops!  :P:

I meant 'Radio Trivia: Podcast Edition'

I went 3/5 here. I ended up listening to this and some other episodes on a 10 hour car trip to pittsburgh with my cousin.

What was REALLY funny is that before we fired up the podcast, we ended up talking about Pokemon Colosseum at great detail since That turned out to be his favorite game in the series. I was telling him that the next game in the series was coming out and he started talking about how much he loved the constant use of Double Battle mechanics and the Limited selection of pokemon

He's kinda odd when he plays an RPG in that he feels like he has to use every character he aquires evenly if possible. Drives me up a wall because he even plays Fire Emblem games like that. @____@;;

Wow, I'm late, but just wanted to say another good episode!

Nice to see another of my requests being used, and just as nice that Guillaume had also requested it (game #5). I couldn't identify it though! The music selection simply didn't ring a bell, but if it truly has such a large number of tracks, I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised. Kirby Mass Attack is a great game, but it can definitely get tiring with the repeated stylus use.
