Tiger Woods will be available on the Nintendo DS by the end of the year and brings the famous series to a whole new world of gameplay due to the touch screen controls of the DS.

Players can choose to play as famous golfers including such favorites as Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, and Jack Nicklaus. Players can also create their own golfer to go through the game with. Once a golfer is chosen, there are five real-life courses to golf on, in addition to one fantasy course. All of these are taken from their console counterparts. Playing the courses often will increase the skills of each golfer.

What makes Tiger Woods unique on the DS is its use of the touch screen to control the golfer’s swing. In order to perform a swing, players will draw a line along a curve on the touch screen to replicate the swinging of a golf club. The touch screen can also be used to pin point exactly where to deliver a shot.

The game supports also wireless multiplayer for up to four players, which is two more than any console version of the game.
