What happens when you mix two of the best rhythm games together? This.
The demo kiosk for this game was one of the largest at Sega's booth and looked to be quite popular on the show floor. Several levels were available to play, each one showing off a different type of gameplay.
I started off with a simple escape sequence where the sharply-dressed main character was running across a rooftop, the aim was to avoid enemies and helicopters trying to slow him down. This was achieved by a tap of either A or B as he passed over the relevant icon which would cause him to jump or slide over or under obstacles in his way. This gameplay style very much reminded me of Bit Trip Runner. However the music was much more upbeat and jazzy which combined with the anime visual style, gave it an Elite Beat Agents vibe.

Perfect escape
The second stage where you fight a boss was even more like EBA, inputs were d-pad (any direction) or B, but timing was made by waiting for the circles to overlap just like in EBA.
It started off with just hitting A to punch guys in the face, then it moved onto the D-Pad where more guys were coming from the left. Finally it combined them so you had to watch both sides simultaneously, finishing off with a Donkey Kong Jungle Beat style mash of the buttons to slap the boss across the face multiple times to defeat him.

Punching metal helms is not advisable
The music in all stages was very catchy and the overall theme and presentation was very nice. It seems to combine the best elements of Elite Beat Agents and Bit Trip Runner, while giving it a cool anime/Jazz theme, I was left curious to see more of the levels and see if they could blend this all together with a decent (or at least amusing) story, which would be the icing on the cake.
