Luigi is back with more ghost busting shenanigans.
Luigi is once again exploring creepy old mansions, armed with his trusty Poltergust vacuum, bravely sucking up various ghosts and ghouls.
Luigi's Mansion 2 is being developed by Next Level Games, the same developer who has brought us the likes of Mario Strikers Charged and Punch-Out!! for Wii. Players familiar with the original game's mechanic of stunning ghosts by shining your flashlight on them will be interested to know that it has been changed up slightly. You will now also have to activate a strobe/burst effect to stun them and suck them in.
Another new twist is that there are now multiple mansions for Luigi to explore, each with different types of ghosts haunting them. Solving puzzles and exploring these areas will help you open up more of the game. Luigi can now use his vacuum to remove wallpaper to reveal hidden rooms, which more than likely house treasure for you to collect.
Luigi's Mansion 2 is set to release in 2012.
