I have never had much hope for any movie based game, Goldeneye aside. SO it's safe to say I really have no hope for a game that is put out to coincide with the release of the film. While a film is usually edited to perfection with a great storyline to match, Episode 1 aside, the game is always rushed and... well... crappy. I am proud to report Konami felt the need to keep this proud tradition alive.

The side scrolling levels bring back the same "why the hell am I playing this" feeling I haven't felt since classics such as Chubby Cherub and Fist of the North Star nearly caused me to bludgeon my groin with the controller in hope that I would pass out and forget they ever existed when I came to.

You run back and forth and collect colorful crystal forms of dinosaur DNA. But beware, because dinosaurs are out for your ass! The best part is that after you collect the dinosaur DNA, you are wisked off to the most simplistic, yet annoying, "puzzle" level I have ever experienced. It's a hybrid of Bust a Move, Brickout, and Space Invaders. You shoot the colored DNA pieces into the DNA strand while these annoying glowing red blobs try to block your shots as they float about.

All of this is done to create the DNA strand of a new dinosaur for the scientists to recreate, THAT YOU THEN KILL IN THE NEXT LEVEL! YEAH! A game that provides a true sense of accomplishment! Bust your ass to get the DNA, reform the DNA strand, THEN KILL WHAT YOU WORKED SO HARD FOR! When will we silly humans learn?!? After playing this game, I can't wait to get my hands on Planet Of the Apes Advance... which will just be Out Of This World with Marky Mark's head pasted on the old hero and some "ape-ificating" pallete swaps of the old aliens.
