Top Girls Video Game Franchise is Back in Style with Three New Bratz™ Titles Scheduled for Launch in 2007

Based on the Upcoming Doll Line, Bratz: The Movie™ Will Make Its Red Carpet Debut, Along with Two Additional Bratz Adventures Capturing a Supporting Role

AGOURA HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) today announced that three new titles based on the popular Bratz™ franchise are currently in development. Bratz: The Movie™, based on the upcoming Bratz fashion doll line of the same name, is in development for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Game Boy® Advance and, for the first time ever, Bratz will appear on the Wii™ video game console. In addition, Bratz: 4 Real™, based on the upcoming Bratz theatrical release, and Bratz Super Babyz™ are currently being developed for the Nintendo DS™ and Windows PC. All three Bratz titles are scheduled for release this fall.

The upcoming release of Bratz: The Movie will mark the third title released under THQ’s worldwide interactive agreement with MGA Entertainment, the manufacturers of Bratz, the No. 1 Toy and Fashion Doll Property in the United States for Q4 of 2006, according to The NPD Group. Bratz remains the top girls gaming property following the successful release of THQ’s Bratz: Forever Diamondz™ in 2006.

About Bratz: The Movie

In Bratz: The Movie, based on the upcoming Bratz fashion doll line of the same name, players will join Cloe™, Jade™, Sasha™ and Yasmin™ as they hit the red carpet, rock out in explosive music shows, strut the fashion runway and publish the hottest magazine ever. When their hard work lands them the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to star in their own movie, players will be able to experience all of the glitz and glamour of becoming real movie stars as they play as all four Bratz girls and experience character-specific adventures. The game allows girls to enjoy a new height of fashion, music and adorable pets while they relive their favorite moments from the TV series. Gameplay includes enhanced pet features including pet swapping, pet mood detection, and the collection of various pet palaces. In the Wii version, players will utilize the Wii Remote™ to strum guitar strings to create their own music as well as apply make-up and take pictures.

In addition to Bratz: The Movie, Bratz: 4 Real and Bratz Super Babyz will be available for the Nintendo DS and Windows PC and are also scheduled to be released this fall.

The first Bratz game constantly outsells every first party DS game here. ;__; THQ = The Nintendo Killer.

People may slam these crap licensesd games, but they usually sell very well. Besides, the market leader always gets tons of licensed crap (especially in Europe, where Sony legally has to allow crap like any game from Phoenix Games).
