One of the most mature games since launch is now available on Wii.

EA’s New Godfather Videogames Ship Today for the PLAYSTATION 3 and Wii

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.-- Electronic Arts Inc., and Paramount Digital Entertainment today announced that The Godfather® The Don’s Edition for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and The Godfather® Blackhand Edition for the Wii™ have shipped in North America. The games will be available worldwide on March 23rd. These fully interactive living world titles are based on the classic film by Paramount Pictures and the critically-acclaimed book by Mario Puzo.

The Godfather Blackhand Edition redesigns the motion-based Blackhand Control system specifically for the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. The power is in your hands as you take down the opposition, or point directly at the screen using the Wii Remote for pinpoint firearm accuracy. The Godfather The Don’s Edition contains The Corleone Expansion Pack with new compounds to control, missions to conquer, and the new Corleone Challenges mode. The Godfather The Don’s Edition also takes full advantage of the SIXAXIS™ controller for PLAYSTATION 3; manhandle your controller to manhandle your opponent.

Developed by EA Redwood Shores The Godfather The Don’s Edition and The Godfather Blackhand Edition have been rated “M" for Mature by the ESRB. The MSRP for The Godfather The Don’s Edition is $59.99 on PLAYSTATION 3 and $49.99 for The Godfather Blackhand Edition on Wii. Talkback

Is anyone else excited for this game? I know it's been out and all. But the added Wii movements do seem cool and not gimmicky. I can't wait to scoop this up.

I actually bought the game today while the box art is god awful and the graphics could of been a little better the game is actually fun and the controls are very good. The game is actually pretty fun which is nice considering most EA games tend to be generic and boring IMO.

yeah, the fact that it was an EA game is what made me leery over it initially.

Can't wait for the angst filled review! XD

I've pretty much gotten over being leary of EA games for Wii, they have been, to put it bluntly, a high quality 3rd party developer for the system so far. They are obviously putting effort in their games, even if they are "ports", whether it be Madden 2007, SSX Blur, or Godfather.

Well even if it is a enhanced port EA is doing Nintendo fans a favor shutting up those people who bitch at the lack of rated M games. Eventually I think there will be a fair balance of many genres and games for different age groups to keep people satisfied.

Must... get... game... must...bash in....heads!!!

*cracks knuckles*

This may be a good warm up for ManHunt 2.
