IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — JANUARY 31, 2007 — Atlus U.S.A., Inc., a leading publisher of interactive entertainment, today announced that the website for Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, has gone live! This site is hot, happening, and definitely would make you want to bust out that katana gathering dust in your closet and get your ninja groove on. You can find the site at: www.atlus.com/izuna/.

This website is definitely the place to be if you want to learn more about the hottest kunoichi to set foot this side of the Pacific. With downloadable wallpapers, an art gallery with cool sketches, and a continually updated web comic, there are plenty of reasons to keep checking back!

About Izuna:

Finally, a dungeon RPG strong enough for a man… but played as a hot chick! Drop that stylus, you sissy, and get back to the old school, hardcore, monster bashing fun we all grew up on! See if you have what it takes to conquer the impossible levels and gruesome bosses. After all, what could be better than the feeling of cold hard steel in the palm of your hands?

Izuna Key Features:

  • Deep, challenging labyrinths that change every time you enter!
  • Use Talismans to cast spells or power up your equipment!
  • Customize and power up your weapons, which gain strength over time!

I really doubt the things people will bust out here are katanas...

See if you have what it takes to conquer the impossible levels and gruesome bosses.

I'm less worried about bosses and more about falling ceiling tiles or tripping over cockatrice corpses in the darkness.

Deep, challenging labyrinths that change every time you enter!

Translation: We didn't have enough memory to make the game remember the dungeon layouts and couldn't be bothered to design them by hand.

I was visiting the site and they definitely know which side of the toast their butter is on - they remind me that Izuna is hot on like every other page, and of course there's a 1280 wallpaper of the groping pic.

Though it's quite unlike Atlus to promote games.

I wonder... Why did they choose to make the main character a ninja (i.e. feudal-era secret agent) when the game is about going through dungeons killing everything in sight? Next thing you know we're blasting demons with a BFG as a Wal-Mart bagger.

Oh Please KDR... We all know that Walmart doesn't have Baggers... They have to be from Krogers! ;P

Isn't that essentially Ash from the Evil Dead series? Shop smart. Shop S-Mart.

All I know is they startled my countrymen by having a dude grab their stuff and put it into bags. This is in a country where even your drill sergeant won't touch anything that's yours without asking you first.

Oh and another funny bit about Izuna is how in one screenshot there's heavy plate armor littering the floor (probably items) while Izuna wears absolutely no visible armor.

Anyway, after all this talk and promotion, let's see a hand count: Is there anyone here who'd actually buy it?

No, but i'd like more juicy artwork.

Pre-ordered. And at an EB as well so that EB tracks my order and orders more copies of the games in their belief that there are more like me out there.

C'mon guys. The game may be hardcore, but the humor is priceless!

Yes but I'm afraid the humor is spaced out too much and the dungeon generator sucks. I haven't encountered a good random dungeon generator outside of Diablo.
