NarutoTM: Clash Of NinjaTM 2 Dominates Nintendo GameCubeTM Sales Nationwide Hitting #1

LOS ANGELES – Nov. 14, 2006 – Ninja fever has hit North America, and we are not talking the flu season. TOMY Corporation and D3Publisher of America, Inc. (D3PA) today announced that NARUTO: Clash of Ninja 2 for Nintendo GameCube™ has dominated software sales for the Nintendo GameCube™, and according to the NPD Group was the #1 selling game for Nintendo GameCube™ in the month of October. Based on VIZ Media’s hit anime series NARUTO, NARUTO: Clash of Ninja 2 is the sequel to the smash hit NARUTO: Clash of Ninja, and features more playable characters, new locations and added gameplay features – including multiplayer modes for up to four players!

“Once again we have been awed by the popularity of NARUTO and the amazing success of NARUTO: Clash of Ninja 2,"said Laura Yoshioka, senior marketing manager, TOMY Corporation. “I think this is not only a reflection on the popularity of NARUTO, but the demand for quality games like NARUTO: Clash of Ninja 2 on the Nintendo GameCube."

The game has also received critical accolades from the gaming press. NARUTO: Clash of Ninja 2 has received scores of 8.2 out of 10 from IGN.com, 8.0 out of 10 from 1up.com and 4.25 out of 5 from GamePro magazine. TOMY Corporation and D3PA also recently released NARUTO: Ninja Council 2 for Game Boy® Advance.

“Our NARUTO games, including NARUTO: Ninja Council 2 for Game Boy® Advance, have been among the best sellers on their platforms every week since they were first released," said Kim Motika, vice president of worldwide sales and operations, D3PA. “We look forward to future success with our partnership with TOMY and the release of NARUTO video games for Nintendo systems."
