(Nasdaq: THQI - News) today announced the release of the Avatar: The Last Airbender video game for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Xbox® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube(TM), Game Boy® Advance, Nintendo DS(TM), PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system and Windows PC. The game is also expected to launch on Nintendo's new Wii system later this fall.

Based on one of Nickelodeon's hottest new TV shows, the Avatar: The Last Airbender video game brings to life an adventure of intrigue, deceit and revelation. Players will be able to play as all four main characters from the show: Aang, Katara, Haru and Sokka, as they grow their team into an unstoppable force making discoveries in a blend of magic and martial arts combat. Players will need to learn numerous bending powers in order to master the four elements of Water, Earth, Fire and Air while journeying through authentic environments from the TV show. Along the way, players will encounter additional characters from the show and discover never before seen enemies and creatures.
